Have you ever tried to do something and just wanted to give up? I have, but I never give up! I love hearing these stories; such great writers!

Would have been better if they chose some other animal species other than a bear whose males are actually usually loving fathers (father seahorses are kind of incredible!) . Kept bothering me to see these scenes of a loving father bear in a forest when in reality male grizzly bears usually have nothing to do with their cubs (except to sometimes eat them [maybe accidentally thinking they are another bear's cub?]).

I really liked this book. I liked the pictures in the book. The one this that I liked most about this book is how the author used similarities to what the bears were doing in the book. I also liked the format of this book.

A book calculated to warm the cockles of any father's heart. Nicely illustrated and mercifully short.

The construction of the book is nice with its fluffy cover and thick pages. The pictures are beautiful. The story is cheesy.

Very cute and loved when they tickled salmon’s tummies—but I was concerned that Daddy Bear gave Baby Bear honey…. Not safe before 1!

Beautiful watercolor illustrations and a sweet little bear mentioning all the things he loves about his mommy. We have I Love You Mommy as well

I relate this book to my childhood because of my daddy. My daddy still calls me his baby girl. My daddy has always supported and loved me. I liked this book because it shows how children should be natured and loved. This book can inspire children that daddy should be loving to their children.

I learned from this book that a child’s ability to understand what proper care and protection was, regardless of gender, is always taught by and reinforced by their dad.

I wish I had that. Nonetheless, this book gave me that ability to fill the void of a dad I never had. I wouldn’t be surprised that many people would relate to the reality that I lived through.

Must read!

One of my favourite books. The memories I have of reading this to my first daughter and now to No. 2 will last forever. Plenty of opportunity for hugs and cuddles and sleepy voices at the end.

(Couldn’t find it on GoodReads until now. So glad it’s made it’s way to the database.)
