<p>Angela “Angie” Stephen, 59, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, in Deadwood, SD. </p><p>A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2024, at Schriver's Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bret Bierman of rural Aberdeen St. John’s Lutheran Church officiating. </p><p>A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the service at the Moose Lodge 590. </p><p>Visitation will be one hour before the service. </p><p>Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Services will be live-streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SchriversMemorial. </p><p>Angela Lynn Currington was born on May 26, 1964, to James L. Currington and Edith Craft in Columbus, GA. </p><p>Edith and the kids moved to Aberdeen, SD, in 1964 and Angie attended school at Lincoln Elementary, Simmons Jr. High, and graduated from Aberdeen Central in 1982. </p><p>Following high school, Angie moved to Wisconsin and attended Madison Business College. After graduation, Angie moved back to Aberdeen and worked at several places, including the Starlite Café. There, she met Scotty Stephen, and the two were united in marriage on September 7, 1985. The pair moved to Canada, where they made their home and worked for several years. </p><p>Eventually, they returned to Aberdeen, and Angie began her work at Avera St. Lukes in the Medicare Billing Office. </p><p>After leaving Avera, Angie worked as a cake decorator and baker for Walmart until taking a well-deserved position as bakery manager at Ken’s SuperFair Foods. She was later forced to retire due to health concerns and has tried to stay as active as possible and stay involved in helping others. </p><p>Angie organized the First Relay for Life event in Aberdeen and has been active in Spurs Riding Therapy, supporting Special Olympics, Camp Dream Makers, the Aberdeen Moose Lodge 590, and the Auxiliary Women. </p><p>Angie enjoyed many hobbies, including sewing, baking, floral centerpiece design, and crafting, and could imagine and make anything that involved graphics. </p><p>Angela is survived by her mother, Edith Brick; daughter, Christie Pierce; and brothers, Rocky Currington, Jerry Currington, and Wesley Brick. </p><p>She was preceded in death by her birth father, James Currington; husband, Scotty Stephen; stepfather, Lavene Brick; brother, Jim Currington; and sister-in-law, Sherri Brick. </p>

Angela Lynn Currington was born on May 26, 1964, to James L. Currington and Edith Craft in Columbus, GA.
