  1. I watched this with my dad, just a few days before he passed away from lung cancer. The second he saw Mr. Rogers getting in the ring with that grin, he laughed so hard I thought he was going to die then and there.

  2. The Frugal Gourmet was the best TV cooking show of all time. You can't put Jeff and Julia in the same category, as they both did their own thing and were great at it. But the Frugal Gourmet I can watch for hours. I have around 80 Episodes of it burned to DVD.

  3. Thanks for all the great comments! SCTV is probably my favorite television show of all time, and this is probably my favorite sketch. I was lucky enough to catch the old 30-minute Canadian episodes when I was in high school in the early 80s, before their stint on NBC. In school, everyone else was talking about Saturday Night Live but me and a select few friends were all about SCTV. It was like watching our own private show back then. So happy to see the entire cast make it to international stardom. They feel like old friends to me.

  4. Sctv was a hidden gem when it first came on. It had a very late night showing so a lot of people missed it. The make-up and actors portrayals were dead on. The skits were clever. Great childhood memory.
