Profile
Shivam Dubey is a cricketer who represents Mumbai in the Indian domestic cricket. He is touted to be the next big thing in Indian cricket. There are a very few genuine seam bowling all-rounders in domestic cricket and Shivam is one of them, not a lot of cricketers, at the moment, can match his all-round abilities in Indian domestic cricket.

Shivam has had a rollicking start to his first-class career. In the first-class career, which is only three matches old, he has a couple of five-wicket-hauls and a couple of tons under his belt. It includes a seven-wicket-haul against Karnataka and a ton against Gujarat when his side was in a precarious position.

Shivam is a powerful young lad, he packs a punch and is more than capable of hitting the ball a country mile. After making an impact in the IPL, Dube made his India debut in 2019 in both ODIs and T20Is but inconsistent performances soon saw him out of the team.

After being a part of RCB for the 2019 and 2020 IPL seasons, Dube moved to RR in 2021 and then to CSK in 2022. Ahead of the 2023 season, Dube was retained by CSK.

Having failed to really show the world the talent he possesses thus far in the IPL, Dube finally came good in 2023 after being given a clear role by his franchise. Tasked with taking down the spinners, Dube made the most of his long levers and naturally gifted bat swing to torment the spinners in most CSK games for the season. He played a vital role in MS Dhoni’s side reclaiming the title. Post the IPL, Dube returned to the domestic circuit and worked on his bowling, developing new variations.

While many would have ruled out a chance of an India team return for the lefty, fate had something else in store as an injury to Hardik Pandya allowed Dube a return to the side for a home T20I series against Afghanistan in 2024. Dube made the most of these chances, marking his return with two consecutive fifties.
