My experience at DePauw University was truly transformative. The campus atmosphere was welcoming, and I quickly became part of a vibrant community. Academically, I was challenged in the best ways possible by passionate professors who cared about my success. I engaged in thought-provoking discussions, conducted research, and participated in hands-on learning experiences that prepared me for the future.

Outside of academics, campus life was diverse and exciting. I got involved in student organizations, attended cultural events, and made lifelong friendships. Living on campus enhanced my college experience, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the vibrant community and take advantage of all the opportunities DePauw had to offer. Looking back, my time at DePauw was more than just earning a degree; it was a transformative journey of personal growth and discovery.

Review DePauw University

Overall a pretty well-rounded school where you can get a good experience academically and socially. There are many various clubs and organizations on campus, so everyone finds “their people”. I enjoy the small classroom size and ability to become close with professors, as well as the opportunity to do research alongside them. Greek life is big here, and it can be isolating if you don’t join it. Greencastle doesn’t have much in town and the closest target is like 45 minutes away but there are the necessities like a Kroger and Walmart. The dining hall food is often repetitive but it’s hit or miss. Their is some diversity on campus although it often feels divided between international students and non-international students. Id recommend if you want a balance of academics, social life, and sports (if you intend on playing one)

I love how welcoming and kind everyone is. When you’re applying to the university, especially, DePauw staff are quick to respond and help out with any concerns. Campus life is very involved, and there’s always someone willing to pick up a conversation. Classes are challenging when they need to be, and the majority of teachers are absolutely wonderful people.
Greek life is big on campus, and there are lots of international students. There’s always a community to be a part of.
