Why is reading Kojeve's Introduction to the Reading of Hegel so important to understand 20th century french philosophy?
I'm reading Maurice Blanchot's Work of Fire, there he mentions Hegel a lot of times and on one of the footnotes it states Blanchot's interpretation of Hegel is based on Kojeve's thought. Based on that, I checked some of the posts of this community and a few comments said it's fundamental to study Kojeve's work on Hegel to understand 20th century french philosophy. Why is that?
