Here is a movie in DVD format. Good DVD disk. Good processing of images on DVD. Typically good cowboy acting for Audie. Audie can do little wrong in such a role. Audie does good in this movie/DVD. I'm happy to own this DVD now. Good, happy and pleased and entertained. This is good. All this is good. Thank you Audie. Thank you seller of this item. You guys are good too.
Plot makes little difference. Audie is Audie. Mis-understood kid cowboy, punk-kid sheriff, tough-acting punk kid cowboy, innocent kid, little giant.... little matter of plot...audie is audie. Audie pulls off being who he is and how he is the great Audie Murphy. I've never seen one of his movies I've not liked... well, that's not true. There were a couple but that wasn't Audie's fault! The plots and scripts were just awful. Audie was trying so hard to be just Audie......
This flick is worth the buy and the time. Buy it, watch it, enjoy some easy viewing, kicked back hero wins in the end relaxing fun. There ya go....
I happen to like old westerns and one of my favorite stars is Audie Murphy. I recently found that he was in more westerns then a-lot of actors of his time. I find that I have a tendencies to look for the little things they did for him to hide his bum leg/hip. (which side to film him, the height of fellow actors around him and running. to name a few) Sort of like with John Wayne whom is another fine "Cowboy" I did start to notice that he had a tendency to play the same type of character such as good guy to start or bad guy -turned good and little love interest. I like older movies for the acting, not the special effects and this movie does not disappoint with a good supporting cast. This is still a "B" western under my rating system which I base on movie predictability, quality of acting and quality of the remastering.(DVD) Still a great movie to own and view many times in the future.
One of my favorites. You can't beat the list of actors in this movie, especially Walter Brennan. I feel this is one of Audie Murphy's best. The cast of characters and filming location are excellent as well as the stunts, some of the best performed by Audie Murphy. The rolling through the fire scene was the real deal and I appreciated the athleticism of Audie to push himself out of the fire. Notice the burn holes in his pants; but they were replaced for the continuation of the fight scene. The story has historical significance based on Native American Ute chief, Ouray, an amazing man, and a man of peace. (That story needs to be told in a separate film.) .....a good movie, with action, great location for filming, a good cast, and Audie Murphy.
Very good movie! I enjoyed it, and his other westerns. In all Audie's movies, he comes across as a cool gun slinger, in the picture on this DVD, it actually resembles (to me), a stance that a rock guitarist would stand if the 30 30 Winchester had been a Les Paul, or Stratocastor. LOL For such a short life , Audie made a lot of good Westerns.
LOVE ANYTHING WITH AUDIE MURPHY! I AM TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED THAT TOO MANY OF HIS MOVIES ARE NOT AVAILABLE VIA AMAZON. IF AMAZON OFFER THEM (EVEN DUPLICATES...WE WILL BUY THEM. HELP ALL THE 'AUDIE MURPHY ' FANS OUT!
Bought this DVD for a friend who love western movies. She said this was a great movie and recommended if you love old western movies, this would be a great one to add to your Dvd collection.
