At long last, Anne Rice's beloved Vampire Chronicles series will come to the small screen. Two years after acquiring the theatrical rights to her books, the best-selling author has announced that she's found a home for the series on streaming service Hulu, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In book form, Rice's Vampire Chronicles have sold a whopping 100 million-plus copies worldwide since the first installment, Interview With the Vampire, was published in 1976. That inaugural novel featuring the now-famous vampire Lestat became a major motion picture starring Tom CruiseBrad PittKirsten Dunst and Antonio Banderas.

Rice's next onscreen venture will be a family project. Her son, Christopher Rice—a four-time New York Times best-selling author in his own right—penned the original script, and both Rices will serve as executive producers on the upcoming series.

While there's no word on casting or a premiere date yet, fans can rest assured that the Hulu adaptation is now under development.
