      jacob s Having read the book all I can say is the movie, while not the worst in and of itself, robs the book of all it's nuance and character depth. None of the people in this really seem like more than caricatures. Not to mention leaving out several major characters and altering the ending seems like such wastes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member So 1967! The "Money vs. soul" dilemma, stealing, bribery, sex, racism, etc - under one hotel roof! Back then, middle America did not stay at big hotels in tourist spots (no Priceline!), and they could only visit this glamorous world via movies!
