The University of Malta is a fully-fledged institution offering over 500 different courses in several disciplines. All lectures are taught in English - English is one of the two official languages in Malta. UM has its own language school - the Malta University Language School - where international students can learn and improve their English. The School assists international students to successfully take and pass the IELTS exam which is an entry requirement to a large number of accredited institutions where degree courses are in English.
