I had never watched this tv series while it was actually playing on tv but was interested in checking it out and wanted to own it. This is a well written, produced,and directed program that follows a couple and their four children and those children’s families. Lots of action—happy and sad event. It shows the growth of characters as subplots intersect and arc over episodes. It shows what a family can strive for in individual and relationship growth I probably played it over and over over the course of 18-24 months, always enjoying it and discovering twists in the plot with every rewatch. I love this show because it makes me care for the characters and I find it relaxing. As above, an excellent family program depicting the interactions of parents, children and siblings and grandchildren. I highly recommend this series as one that can be played and discussed for fun and teachable moments in families who are currently facing life events.

I never watched this show when it came out on t.v. Then I purchased the series after viewing a few episodes and was hooked! This is a family that has it all. They are close knit, passionate, ( fighting or sticking together) there
arguments are often hilarious they talk over each other constantly, and yet they are relatable. I only wish they had chosen someone else to play Sara, imo the actress was just annoying as was the one who played Kristina. In the case of Kristina, the writers really made her out to be someone who championed her son which is good, but to the point that everyone else's opinion didn't matter . She definitely had a blind spot when it came to her son. They also did something not to many shows do but should, they gave it an ending for all the characters out into the future. This really gives closure to a series. You will watch this show over and over.
