It was hard at times to hear the female guide if you were situated at the back of the boat, everybody had the opportunity to purchase a drink at the start of the tour, I would of liked to purchase another but it appeared my request was ignored but this did not reduce my enjoyment. The audio guide was informative and in several languages. The captain was welcoming. It was a little chilly but there were blankets and Jamie, our captain, gave us a great tour of the canals, with lots of info about Amsterdam, the canals and lots of buildings that we hadn’t even noticed while walking around for the past few days. We found it to be relaxing and peaceful and a lovely way to watch the evening roll in. And no question that we asked went unanswered. Top marks to the guide who was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and with the questions asked. - Alys PGuildford, UK3 contributionsThis was one of the best tours I've ever been on! The size of the tour was small (7 people) so it was nice to get to know everyone. The tour guide Reinier was incredible. He was very knowledgeable, nice, friendly and helpful. He helped us take pictures as a few of us were solo travellers. When we had our free time to wander around, he saw me by myself so he came and offered to take some pictures for me before he went back to get the car. He told us a lot of information, not just the places we visited but also about The Netherlands and Dutch cultures. When some of us said we were gonna visit Rotterdam, Deft and The Hague during the stay, he gave us some pointers on where to visit and which trains to catch. Everything was very well prepared and well planned. There were water, umbrellas, power banks and even medicine on the car (something for every situation). Reinier even gave us stroopwafels (the traditional Dutch biscuit) to try.
This tour exeeded all expectation and one of the best experiences I had during my stay in Amsterdam. 100% would recommend.
