We asked the locals where the best spot for breakfast in Memphis was and we received several recommendations for Brother Juniper's. We arrived early, per recommendations, and were seated as soon as we arrived. Our server was super attentive and before we knew it we...had a steaming cup of coffee in front of us and we were putting in our orders. The atmosphere at Brother Junipers is what I would call eclectic. From the mismatched coffee mugs to the spartan-style dining tables and benches to the various artists on display, you find yourself people watching, enjoying the hustle and bustle of the staff. The menu at Brother Juniper's is big and could be classified as a bit overwhelming. From omelette's to pancakes to benedicts, there is something for every palate on this menu. We ordered a "P4" a potato dish with feta, spinach, mushrooms, cheese, and potatoes and a Momma Lil's special - an omelette loaded with peppers, mushrooms, spinach, home fries and salmon. Both were wonderful - crispy home fries, cheesy goodness melded perfectly with the spinach and mushrooms. Momma Lil's was anything but lil (see what I did there?) The omelette was perfectly cooked and the salmon was piled high. Neither of us left hungry. Between the friendliness of the staff, quick service and quality of the food, we will definitely return.More

First time visit. I ordered the San Diegan omelette, it wasn’t hot which was disappointing, but the flavors were amazing. You could taste every individual ingredient and they worked together beautifully. Portion sizes are generous. Not sure I’d recommend this place for families. Being near...the University campus, there were a lot of students there...students who didn’t seem to care to keep their subject matter or language appropriate for public. The tables were close together and music wasn’t constant so it felt uncomfortable having to hear others' conversations. I’d come back, there are more menu items I’d like to try, but it won’t be a place I’d bring my kids. Coffee was delicious too!More

Hands down the best breakfast I've ever eaten! I ordered the garden and the lamb, the omelette was incredibly tender and delicious, the homemade raisin toast was perfect, and the loaded cheese grits melted in my mouth. Think you don't like grits? I challenge you...to try these and maintain that opinion. Do Not miss this place!More

Both my boyfriend and I ordered omelettes and were very unimpressed. The cheese/meat/veggies weren’t really cooked into the eggs, just sort of thrown in the middle after the fact - the cheese was not at all melted. The omelettes are just made too full, in...fact my first bite had about 6 jalapeños in it. Ick! The cheese grits were very tasty, but unusually thick. Other party members ordered breakfast burritos and were pleased with their meals, therefore I would give this local spot another shot. Be advised it is VERY busy and small, so prepare to wait for a table. They do have a coffee bar and limited wait seating outside.More

Traveled here because it was a pet friendly restaurant and did not have high expectations but oh my gosh!!! The food was delicious!! Huge portions. I had a steak omelet and it was well seasoned, my grandmother had the pancake special and the pancake was...huge and pretty tasty! The maple syrup was pretty good. It did not disappoint. You have to try it!!More

Everyone seems to love this older place and we found out why! We got to enjoy sitting in their newly finished enclosed 'outdoor' dining area during an off time (Tuesday mid morning), thus it was not too crowded. I am sure it must be packed...on weekends. My omelet was good, but a bit over stuffed with bacon, but we really came to this place for the pancakes. I got a nice surprise with the white chocolate latte which is seasonal - so happy it was 'that' season. YUM!!!More

I visited on Tuesday morning, at 6:30 when they opened, I was the first customer. There is some fee parking, though I can see parking being a limitation during busier hours. The wait staff was friendly and the service was quick. The breakfast menu is...extensive. I had the eggs Benedict, it was good, not the best I’ve ever had, but hot and satisfying. The coffee was excellent, and the wait staff was very attentive throughout my meal. The restaurant was clean and pleasant, I would definitely visit again.More

I would give Brother Juniper’s six stars if I could! It is a fantastic experience. The San Diegan open-face omelet was likely the best breakfast item I’ve ever tasted. Rachel Ray named it one of the best breakfast items in America and I concur. The...cinnamon roll pancakes were also amazing. The Juniper’s Latte is excellent as well. The food here is absolutely 5 stars on its own, but the people and the service make it even better. The people are so kind, they truly care about their community, and they go the extra mile in the way they serve their customers. From the awesome origin story and really cool merch to the fantastic food and even better people, this was just an overall wonderful experience. We wouldn’t come back to Memphis without eating at Brother Juniper’s.More

Every college town in the US has a great breakfast place that they boast about and cherish. This place is no different. It’s located in a hole in the wall strip center off the beaten path but worth finding. Small, cozy, run by young attractive...people, and amazing food. Coffee is good and hot, portions are very decent, and the service was excellent.More

Both my husband and I got open face omelets, I chose cheese grits and he did potatoes for the side. Food was DELICIOUS. Obviously home cooked and fresh ingredients. Our server was less than great, we weren’t given any info on menu, did not find...out specials until after we ordered, and felt rushed out the entire time.More

We were really hungry and had walked there. We sat on the patio which was definitely a different ambiance than inside. Just what we wanted - quiet. It was about 9am on Friday. The environment was casual and the patio was filled at 10:15 when...we finished. The three of us got omelets. One veggie delight, which I didn't taste but the recipient liked; one Cheese omelet with onions, peppers & spinach and Swiss cheese. This was delicious but the highlight was the Momma Lil's Special- This is has shredded smoked salmon on the top!! Out of this world!! The potatoes were delicious and I ate many off of everyone's plate. My sister who could eat gluten loved her biscuit. I'm not a biscuit lover so my opinion doesn't count. All in all, a great place to eat. Fast and friendly service by Kelsey was appreciated. If you found this review helpful, please press thank below.More

We’ve been going for years and the service is consistently, good, the food is consistently wonderful and it’s a great breakfast place. The owners are so nice and customer service oriented and so are all the servers. Just like many other small breakfast restaurants they...don’t take reservations so it can be a long wait to get a table especially if you have six or more but that should tell you how good it is. It stays busy. I would definitely recommend it for breakfast or brunch.More

We loved our breakfast here. The service was tremendous and the food was tasty (and huge portions). So nice that they had some vegan options for the vegan member in our group. We were staying downtown, and so this was a nice place to have...breakfast on our way to Graceland. We arrived around 7:30am on a Saturday, and by about 8am or so there was quite a crowd.More

Tables socially distanced in the inside dining room. Outside dining also available. Dog friendly out there. A couple was seating outside, with their large dog recumbent by them. It was cold when I stopped in for an early breakfast. The staff had put a heater...near the couple and their dog. So if you want to dine outside, get the staff to put a heater near your table when it's cold outside. I got the veggie omelet, which had three eggs. It came with grits, for me. Good service.More

They do have a website, Check the Reviews. you may be able to find out more (info). Love this place. Go hungry, portions are rather large. Try the coffee bar while you wait. Caramel Latte is fantastic.
