The Guided Tour of the Minster is well worth taking. Paul was an excellent guide, and pointed out lots of features that you would have missed just walking round by yourself.
The Minster has a fascinating history, and it is hard to believe that such a magnificent structure is now, simply, a parish church - all down to Henry VIII!

Another wonderful day! I was booked on to the willow weaving workshop, which started with a safari tour and meeting the cows. The farmers are passionate about what they do, they are really friendly and lovely, the farm is really well laid out and the cows are clearly loved, each with their own personality. I fully recommend Dumble Farm!

I basically just wanted some souvenir pens to take home so followed the signs to Tourist Information and there we found this very unusual looking building, the East Riding Treasure House, and so glad we did.
Unbeknown to us there was a Lego exhibition (free in) which was so interesting, and on the way in a smaller display of 1970's/Glam Rock items which took me back to my youth. I just wish we'd gone earlier so we could have stayed longer . A hidden gem (by the way I did get my pens too!). Will go back next time I am in Beverley - well worth a look.

We visited here to get information for what to do in a day . The team member on duty was simply brilliant . She was so helpful and enthusiastic. We left knowing what to see and even where best to have our picnic lunch in

A busy shop on two floors, full of small rooms and cabinets containing a variety of antiques and collectibles. Helpful staff. Cafe at the rear which we did not visit. Toilet sign showed it was for cafe customers only- disappointing in a shop where you might want to spend a lot more than a penny!

My appointment was a Xmas gift voucher from my daughter, chose a hair appointment with Courtney, super friendly and styled my hair exactly how we discussed. Fab experience in beautiful surroundings!

Known as Nellies locally after a former landlady, Nellies is an unspoilt gem of a pub. Those complaining of draconian rules that prohibit the use of mobile phones, laptops etc. fail to understand the whole concept and purpose.
A visit to Nellie’s is unlike a visit to any other pub. Here you leave the trappings of modern life behind and step back in time to a world without electronic communication devices, social media and other modern day distractions. Here you can relax in gas lit rooms with real coal fires drinking proper beer like it used to be and striking up random conversations with people you’ve never met. Once you are prepared to cease comparisons with other pubs and just accept you’re visiting a living museum worthy of ditching tech addiction for a few hours, you begin to unwind and feel what visiting pubs in a bygone uncomplicated age must have felt like.
At first I too complained about the no tech rules, but now realise that this place is a haven of contentment away from the competing demands for your time in a modern world, what’s more with the perfect pint - Sam Smiths Old Brewery Bitter at only £3.20 you don’t need a mortgage to drink here. So in summary, there are loads of pubs in Beverley where you can use your tech, ignore other pub goers and revel in a much larger choice of drinks at higher prices than Nellies but none of them will literally transport you back in time like this one does!
I hope that Nellies will one day be protected by The National Trust or similar as it’s far too important a part of history to change!

Our first escape room experience and will not be the last. All four of our team agreed it was great fun, with constant surprises. We needed a couple of clues, but still had to work the puzzles out. Our host watched via cameras and knew the right time to provide a clue, which keep the progress moving. We were 4 seniors and pleased that there was no climbing or crawling through tunnels needed. Don't forget your glasses. 100% recommend this venue.

Visited her with 5 kids aged between 9 and 2 and 3 adults. What a fantastic place. I was so impressed at how clean it was, no shoes or food is allowed in the role play area. Excellent value for money, and they limit the amount of kids that can come in.
I had a couple of coffees, maybe not the cheapest but they were nice so I didn't mind paying. They also have a tiny shop which I fell victim to with my daughter, she bought a TY beanie toy but it was no more expensive than anywhere else. Staff were super friendly and helpful
Overall a lovely visit and I will definitely travel from Scarborough to visit again!

The star in a boring development. Near a small play area for children. Why the planners could not have made this the centre of the development is beyond me.

Came across this little pub by complete accident (thought it was cafe from outside) and so glad I did. Staff and customers really friendly and when we returned in the evening, the owner was so friendly and really knowledgeable about the beer and wine resulting in a wonderful evening (that's when I found out it used to be a takeaway sandwich shop) Get your sat nav out and track it down 😊
