Biography

Birth

John Connell, the son of Maurice and Ellen (Cronan) Connell, was baptised Feb 11, 1857 in Carbonear, Newfoundland. His godparents were Jerry Driscoll and Alice Connell.[1]

Marriage

On Feb 8, 1888 in Curling, Bay of Islands, Emilia Jesso, daughter of Joseph and Ursula Young, and resident of Benoits Cove, married Joannem O'Connel, son of Meauriti and Helen Cronan of Woods Island.[2]

Research notes

John O'Connell died before 1921, when his wife was listed as a widow in the Wood's Island census in Newfoundland.[3]

O'Connell-2926 and O'Connell-2325 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, locations and family locations. There is a big discrepancy in birth year, but that seems to be because of a lack of sources.
