Loggerhead Marinelife Center: A Journey of Conservation

Immerse yourself in the wonders of marine life at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, an inspiring sanctuary dedicated to rehabilitating and conservating sea turtles. Admission is free, making it a delightful educational escapade for all ages.

Be captivated by the stories of recovery and return to the wild as you wander amidst the creatures that call this center their healing ground. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s dedication is a laudable symbol of the community’s bond with the ocean.

Baseball Fever Strikes in Jupiter

When March rolls around, Roger Dean Stadium buzzes with the energy of spring training. Home to both the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins, this venue offers an intimate baseball experience. Enjoy sunny Florida days with your favorite teams and maybe even snag affordable tickets from Razorgator or StubHub – just remember to pocket some cash for parking.

As someone who attends many Florida spring training games, Roger Dean is my favorite stadium, and it’s easy to get in and out of.

The Great Outdoors Beckons

If the sun and sand call out to you, there’s no better response than a day at Jupiter Beach. Stretching over three miles, it’s a haven for sunseekers and a paradise for dog owners, with a generous portion designated for off-leash fun. Rental options abound for those eager to jet-ski, fish, or stand-up paddleboard.

Fun Fact: Unlike many neighboring cities, Jupiter is pet-friendly in almost every aspect.

For a touch of wild Florida, venture into nearby Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Here, scenic drives, hiking trails, and an observation tower await. Whether you camp under the stars or climb Hobe Mountain Observation Tower for stunning panoramas, nature’s allure is vivid in every corner.

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse: A Beacon of Beauty

No visit to Jupiter is complete without ascending the 105 steps of its iconic lighthouse. Since 1860, it has shone as a symbol of the town’s enduring spirit. With admission, enjoy the surrounding museum or opt for a self-guided tour via your smartphone.

The view from the top of the Jupiter Lighthouse is breathtaking, a picture-worthy moment capturing the heart of Jupiter’s coastal landscape.

Where to Eat in Jupiter

You can find endless meal ideas from the local eateries throughout Jupiter, Florida. A few I enjoy are Berry Fresh Cafe (the best breakfast, hands down!), The Woods Jupiter, Calaveras Cantina, and Copacabana (Caribbean and Latin).

If you desire more of a chain restaurant atmosphere, try Duffy’s Sports Grill, First Watch, or TooJay’s Gourmet Deli.

Start Your Day at Berry Fresh Cafe

Rise and shine to the finest breakfast in town at Berry Fresh Cafe. It’s the crowd favorite for a darn good reason! From inventive omelets to luscious Bennedicts and from fluffy pancakes to hearty burritos, this café serves up breakfast dreams on a plate. And, when their seasonal menu rolls out, prepare for an irresistible line-up of treats.

Picture the Nashville Hot Chicken Hash – a plate heaped with crispy chicken, zesty pickles, and poached eggs drizzled with Comeback sauce. And for the Bloody Mary enthusiasts, Berry Fresh stirs up a masterpiece.

You’ll also find Berry Fresh Cafe in Stuart, Palm Beach Gardens, and Port St. Lucie.

Pro Tip: Dodge the wait by hopping onto the waiting list through their website. You’ll thank us later!

Swanky Bites at The Woods Jupiter

Next up, get ready to elevate your midday snack game at The Woods Jupiter. Owned by golf legend Tiger Woods, this chic sports bar and grill is your go-to for sipping on fine bourbons, cognacs, and ryes.

Swing by during their daily Happy Hour from 3 to 6 PM for tempting drinks discounts and a delectable selection of appetizers, including Korean meatballs, crispy calamari, and wings that’ll have you coming back for more.

Colorful Flavors at Calaveras Cantina

For a contemporary touch on Mexican cuisine, make your way to Calaveras Cantina. Here, tacos are taken seriously, craft cocktails are poured precisely, and margaritas, like the strawberry I savored, are nothing short of perfection. They are even served in thick, heavy glasses with a sugar or salt rim.

Take advantage of their velvety guacamole and dig into the Queso Fundido brimming with melted Chihuahua cheese – it’s sublime! Whether you choose to relax on their breezy patio or revel in the vibrant indoor ambiance, be sure to peek at their extensive tequila selection.

A Taste of Cuba at Copacabana

Cuban and Latin flavors await at Copacabana Cuban Cuisine near Roger Dean Stadium. Here, the Cuban sandwich is king, croquetas de jamon are addictive, and empanadas are enveloped in tradition.

Try their unique Caldo Gallego, a hearty white bean soup that’s utterly satisfying. And, of course, no Cuban feast is complete without a jolt of caffeine from a cortado – that small yet mighty burst of coffee bliss.

I love to sail and the wind in Palm Beach is always amazing. This is a great guide to the area. I really need to do more in south Florida than just the Everglades and diving.

Jennifer, at least your list wasn't typical for Florida with theme parks and beaches. ;) Where is your favorite spot to dive? My daughter and husband are divers but they haven't done much in about 5 years.

I've always thought it's just beach & shopping when it comes to Palm Beach. Blame it on TV programmes, heh! Top of my list would be Loggerhead Marinelife Center - I always make it a point to check out turtle centres if there's one wherever I go - and the lighthouse! Can already imagine myself snapping photos away!

That is so awesome! I'm glad you found something interesting about the area. Yes, you are correct. When I moved to Florida I had no idea how many amazing things the state offered, other than beaches and Disney. I'm still discovering but honestly, Florida could give any state a run for its money with its hidden gems.;)

That Avocado grill looks really tempting! That would definitely be on the top of my list if I ever visit Palm Beach!

What a fantastic write up! The hotel seems great and has everything you could ask for, especially free parking! Don't think many hotels will offer that around this area! I love how there is a centre to help rehabilitate sea turtles! A massive help to the marine eco-system!

Thanks, Natasha. Yes, free parking is a high-fiver. :) I just had some friends at the Loggerhead Turtle Center yesterday and loved watching how excited they were about it. ;) Thanks for reading.
