On Thursday 17th November we are holding a Careers Fair. Years 9 & 11 will be bale to visit during school hours. We will then be open for parents and students from years 9, 10 & 11 to visit 4pm - 6pm.

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our Open Evening later today. Headteacher talks will be held at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm and guided tours will also be taking place throughout the evening.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II & wanted to give staff & students at The Stanway School some time to reflect and remember her life. One of these involved students being given the opportunity to write a message on our condolence board #QueenElizabeth

It is with sadness that Buckingham Palace announced the death of Her Majesty The Queen. The school will remember her in assemblies next week. All schools will remain open & normal attendance is expected. When news of funeral arrangements are confirmed, these will be communicated

With the holidays approaching, many cafes, restaurants and supermarkets are providing meal promotions for school age children over the holidays. Full details can be found on the poster. are also offering free lunches for children over the holidays.

Our Year 7's have just departed the school for a week's camping, where they will cook outside and get the chance to take part in activities such as canoeing and archery. Wishing them all the best time making memories with their friends and learning new life skills.

Message to those who left us last year - we still have lots of GCSE Art coursework that has not been collected. The deadline for collection is Friday 15th July. Any work left after this date will be disposed of. Please email carly.eves@stanway.school to arrange collection

Due to traffic congestion on the #A12 & burst water main in #Colchester, we recognize that some Year 11 students may struggle to arrive at school on time for their exam. We will delay the start & put arrangements in place to ensure no student is penalized by the circumstances.
