Marie Ann Cloak Stone, known affectionately as Marianne, was born on February 15, 1971, in Cape May, New Jersey. She was a beacon of resilience and courage, a woman who faced every challenge head-on, with a captivating smile that never faded. Marianne lived a vibrant and fulfilling life until May 6, 2024. She enjoyed the simpler pleasures of life, whether it was spending quality time with her friends and family, indulging in weekend shopping sprees at TJ Maxx or going to the movies with her daughter Rebecca, or enjoying nail-biting episodes of The Masked Singer.
Marianne was a loving and inspiring mother to her two daughters, Rebecca and Nicole, who were the center of her universe. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her furry grandchildren, Sadie, Peaches, and Darla who brought her immense joy. She had the natural ability to light up any room with her upbeat and witty personality, endearing herself to everyone she met. Marianne was a beacon of selflessness, always prioritizing the needs of others above her own. She possessed an uncanny knack for thoughtful gestures, often surprising loved ones with gifts that were a testament to her attention to detail and her affection for them.
Marianne was a pillar of strength, not just for her family, but for her friends and extended family as well. Her life was a testament to her indomitable spirit, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and resilience. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Kyle) Stone and Nicole Stone; her close friends, Colleen Pugliese, Yolanda Warner, Jenn Morton, and Paige Ratliff; her cousins, Linda Stewart, Sandra Hartman, and Peter Hartman; her mother-in-law, Marianne Stone; her ex-husband, David Stone; and her furry grandchildren, Sadie, Peaches, and Darla. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Marie Cloak.
