You might not know the name Bobby Whitlock, but you probably know his music.

He co-wrote, played and sang on the Derek and the Dominos album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. (He's the one playing that piano coda at the end of Layla). He also performed on George Harrison's triple-solo album All Things Must Pass.

These days, Whitlock performs with his wife, Coco Carmel. The pair play tonight (Feb. 19, 2015) at McGonigel's Mucky Duck.
