John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is doing hard time in jail when his former boss, Col. Troutman (Richard Crenna), offers him a deal. If Rambo travels to Vietnam to try to find the American prisoners of war, his criminal record will be expunged. Rambo takes the reconnaissance assignment and agrees not to get involved in any of the action. However, when his Vietnamese lover, Co Bao (Julia Nickson), is killed by American forces, Rambo forgets his promise and takes matters into his own hands.

What's up with the negative reviews? I mean I get the critics hating a movie that might be pro America. But how does this movie not get higher reviews from the casual reviewer? Rambo kicks major butt in this sequel. The best part about this movie. Is this time, Rambo gets to take out the enemy. Instead of fighting the police.

It may not exactly be a masterpiece of great writing, but Rambo: First Blood Part II is still a fun movie for anyone in the mood to watch an over-the-top action thriller that cares more about balancing lots of explosive, guns-blazing action with actual suspense and tension than it does about logic. Sylvester Stallone is also great in this movie.
