Quincy High School Reviews
Rating 3.95 out of 5 234 reviews
I fairly enjoyed my time at QHS. I had some phenomenal teachers and mentors like my guidance counselor that really made the experience so much better. I'd like to see some teachers become more engaged with their students and rather than piling on work, actually do some hands on things with the class. I would also like to see a change in the disciplinary actions taken on by the administration. Students tend to not care about having any consequences and this is because they are being let off too easily.
My overall experience at Quincy high school has been better for the most part. Throughout my 4 years I have had very few bad experiences and lots of good. If I had to choose the worst part of my Quincy high school experience I would say that I have not always felt safe there. Between students fighting and people calling the school making threats it hasn't always felt same and lots of students I know agree. The best experiences I have had at Quincy high has been with teachers and faculty. Most teachers I have had were always so kind, helpful and caring. They have always given me solace when I needed it and cared about my future. One thing I would like to see a change in is the way that some students treat others.
Most of the teachers I have now are nice and I enjoy their classes. The school has a good amount of 'non-traditional' classes that can lead into the workforce. Including culinary, automotive, plumbing, woodworking, and probably more. Their are programs aren't bad either. The underclassmen can be rowdy at times and there are the occasional fights in the hallways.
