Vaughan sounds absolutely great here. She doesn't sound "old". Her jazz inflections and scatting are phenomenal, second only to Ella Fitzgerald, but stylistically completely different. Vaughan was a unique individual who did not copy other performers. The recorded sound is good but nothing special. Musically, this is more about enjoying the sound of Vaughan's voice than enjoying the specific songs. Overall, a pretty good album. Easy to find used, quite inexpensive.
