I had a positive experience at Sunny Hills High School. Academically, I particularly enjoyed Calculus AB and orchestra, finding that my teachers were excellent and taught very well. Outside the classroom, I was involved in track for three years, which was an overall fun experience. Socially, while I had a few friends, I made many great memories that I cherish.
Sunny Hills High School has a variety of sports and extracurricular opportunities from freshman to senior year. In the academic aspect, there are AP, IB, and Honors courses, which allows students to prepare and get ahead on college opportunities. The spirit of the school is high and strong, which makes a great environment for freshman students. However, the food offered at lunch is not very good, and can often be difficult to consume. I hope they can improve the food quality and options.
I really appreciate Sunny Hills High School, and I appreciate all of the great opportunities this school can give us. I really appreciate all of the different resources they offer students and the great staff they have at this school. I love each of my teachers, and I have been able to learn so much from each of them. Sunny Hills is a beautiful school, with a great campus, and a bunch of students ready to learn each day. My classmates are all very attentive, listening to our teachers, because all of the lessons they teach are very engaging.
There is no diversity at Sunny Hills High School. You will only be surrounded by Korean-Americans or Korean international students.
I believe Sunny Hills high school’s advanced classes helped my daughter to be well prepared for college. Her Math teachers are one of the main reasons why she scored so well in her AP exams.
Sunny Hills is a fairly good school. It has great academics and is in a great neighborhood. However, some faculty/teachers really are not up to par when it comes to teaching methods and patterns. On the contrary, other teachers are excellent and make students excited to learn. Overall Sunny Hills is a school with great academics, sports, and opportunities.
Honestly I’ve been to nine schools in my 12 years in school and Sunny Hill High School is one of the best schools I’ve been to.
Sunny Hill High School is a well balanced academic/athletic school. All teachers come prepared to do their best in teaching the student. All teachers are easily accessible through email or going into their classroom to just talk. Their academic system helps to prepare you for college as well as all the resources provided through the counselor office. The athletics department is run by coaches who welcome any student, as high school is where you learn your interest. Overall the school is ranked one of the best in CA.
Sunny hills is an excellent campus that helps you stay connected with those around you. The teachers are wonderful and give amazing advice and the diversity is great and allows you to bond with many other like minded individuals.
I have grown beyond measures as a student and athlete at Sunny Hills High School. When I first entered Sunny Hills, I was so afraid and socially anxious because I had spent the previous year doing online school during COVID-19. I had a hard time being able to converse with others easily and playing my sport with confidence because the older girls had much more experience than I had. I had grown up with them since elementary school playing club basketball with them, and had watched them all improve together as a whole while I was slumped behind as "the younger one". Playing a sport in high school with the girls I had grown up with gave me a huge confidence boost, especially because our team was in Division II, considerably a highly ranked category. I was able to have conversations with others much more easily, allowing myself to bring out a fun-loving side of me with everyone from school -- which created a positive dynamic for my experience at Sunny Hills High School.
My favorite part of this school is the connections I feel with my sports and athletic programs. I think we have strong coaches and players in the programs, and the school does a good job advertising upcoming games. I felt very valued and included throughout my 4 years, especially when we had big student sections and recognition on the morning announcements.
Over my past three years here, I have had an amazing time at this school. Not only have my teachers been supportive and helpful, but also kind and understanding. The school spirit is always at its all-time high here due to the efforts of our student body. I am in the International Baccalaureate program at this school and find the teachers very insightful and capable of teaching an advanced, international course. The campus is very open and inviting, leading the general atmosphere of the school to be very bright and well, “Sunny.” Overall, I was very happy with my decision in entering this school, so much so I advised my younger brother to attend, and he will start his freshman year here in August this year!
My experience at Sunny Hills High School has been great. Even though I did have to go through my freshman year on Zoom, just like every other school, Sunny Hills was able to provide me with great resources and tried to make my freshman year as normal and as enjoyable as possible. I am a cheerleader here and have had a great time pursuing this sport. Our Athletic director is awesome and very professional.
Sunny Hills is a great school that doesn't overwork it's students by being too rigorous, but still has enough of different types of classes to challenge all kinds of students. That said, the school isn't very diverse in it's student body, which can make some students feel left out with the overwhelmingness of mainly one culture.
Overall Sunny Hills High School was a decent high school, it was very inclusive and lacked some diversity. In terms of academics it prepared students for the college process and the sports teams were also very diverse.
Honestly, my experience at Sunny Hills High School has been the same over the last 3 years. Diversity is big on campus and there are many people who are always interested in making new friends. Everyone is friends with each other and even with the teachers as well. I like the school very much.
Sunny Hills has been a wonderful experience for high school. The school is secluded, and the community values academics while having a vibrant campus life. However, there are only two entrances to the school, making traffic quite heavy during rush hour.
