MR. COETZER THE SPY Retired South African pro Amanda Coetzer's husband is Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan. On Tuesday, he came clean as a one-time spy who aided Israel in securing its nuclear arsenal. The man is a big timer away from the weapons, too: His blockbuster, scandalous, and Oscar-baiting credits include Pretty Woman, L.A. Confidential, and ... Natural Born Killers. Thus by proxy even, this earns Coetzer the honor of Least Boring Post-Professional Life. For now.
SUIT + TIE GQ magazine has named its 20 most stylish male athletes of the year, and three titans of tennis are among the winners: Roger Federer (indubitably), Andy Murray (Kim Sears doesn't hurt, either), and Tomas Berdych (a complete darkhorse). Here's to you, Gentleman's Quarterly, for tapping pros outside the box.

DISTRESSED BUT NO DAMSEL CNN ran a story about Patrick Mouratoglou by the title "The Man Who Rescued Serena" and, needless to say, some folks took umbrage with that. This is one. While Serena Williams certainly exhibits the lioness' share of stress on court, at times nearly weeping and dramatically grimacing, there's no reason to run such an exacerbated headline. This is not a weak chickadee wasting away in a castle tower; this is a powerful woman who has made her way since her teens to the pinnacle of her craft.
TOP THIS The WTA tour's own montage of the 2013 season's best shots is out now, and a few bar-none hits are in the mix. Victoria Azarenka's superb volley against Serena in the Cincinnati final's final set leads off the collage, and one man in a gray T-shirt in the stands definitely loved it. (Let the record show that the shot put Serena down match point, and yet she "clapped her racquet" at length as a testament to her respect for what Vika carved out.)
