I stayed here for 2 nights in a less expensive room on the first floor, so my view was of the pool and parking lot. That was okay because I wasn't there much. The inside of the hotel is very nice. It was renovated in the past couple of years and my room was perfect with a little kitchen area (with coffee pot, microwave, fridge and storage) a tub and shower and desk area. The room was clean and like that of a pretty high end hotel. Other than the view, the only drawback of the parking lot side is the road noise, but if the AC is on, I didn't hear it much. Also, most of this is in the day as there is not much traffic at night. If you would like it eat in the breakfast room, it is nice with a beautiful view of the water and a large deck. In general, I'm not a fan of continental breakfast as the food is usually pretty weak. The hotel is doing bagged breakfasts that you can take with you. I had the blueberry muffins and they were actually really good, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurts and hard boiled eggs all packed up by friendly staff. This is a great location for those who want to travel to all the surrounded areas and it is just on the road in and out of Belfast, which is a great little midcoast town with cute shops and restaurants. Check out the surrounding areas too.

A last minute change of plans had us overnighting in Belfast. We read the reviews about the Yankee Clipper Inn. By 4pm it was sold out they they recommended their sister hotel, Belfast Harbor Inn. What a great find! Newly remodeled with a nice modern touch, that still has a casual feel (think similar to a Hampton). We opted for a king room that faces the road ($40 savings vs waterfront view). Room is large, has a bfast bar type area for refrig, microwave, paper towels, coffee maker & tea. Desk & chair, couch, club chair & table setting area, all very nice. Bathroom nice large counter space, good lighting & hot water. Bfast area is large with multiple tables (grab & go with a nice selection during COVID). There's 5 outdoor tables w/chairs perfect to relax & enjoy the water view. We enjoyed wine on the patio. The front desk staff were courteous, helpful and showed us where the exercise room, heated indoor pool, bfast area & our main floor room location. Belfast downtown is < 2 miles away and offers shopping & restaurants options. We dined at Nautilus, nice. We highly recommend this Inn!

My husband and I loved this hotel. First of all, staff was wonderful, room was clean, spacious and we had the side of the ocean with a balcony and the view out there of the ocean was so serene and relaxing. Even with Covid, we found the Continental Breakfast very good. Many choices and well stocked. They did bag up breakfast and you could either eat in their dining room, back patio with ocean view or back in room. It was a very hard choice, all were a good choice. Very close to town and found ourselves longing to get back to hotel in the evening to sit outside after a long day of sightseeing and enjoy the back view. This will be a must on our next trip to Maine.

We stayed for one night and were very pleased with our choice, which is conveniently located on Route 1, just a bit past downtown Belfast. We were heading to Acadia in the morning, so the location was perfect. The double queen room and bathroom were spacious and very clean, with internet, charging plugs, numerous TV choices, comfortable beds, reasonably quiet HVAC and decent lighting, and a refrigerator and microwave. Modern decor is similar to a Hampton Inn. Our water view room on the second floor had a balcony with a view of the water across a large, grassy field. Staff were all very helpful. Due to Covid, the morning breakfast is take-away rather than a buffet, with things like yogurt, fruits, muffins, scones, and cereal. The gal in the kitchen said she'd made the blueberry muffins that morning and they were quite good, as were the local peaches (thanks!). It would have been nice if coffee were available other than during breakfast hours, but Covid probably makes that difficult.

The hotel is not close to the city, you have to drive or drive to footbridge road and park there and cross the river on foot. The hotel is clean, our room was not quiet as we were close to the kitchen on the first floor and we heard the noise of people ringing for service (still pack and go breakfast, which was not very good for our taste). The hotel has free parking and a small pool inside and another outside. Nice view of the water.

Dear Lucybelle, Thank you so much for staying with us recently, we're glad you enjoyed your stay, and the ocean view, and found our hotel to be clean. We apologize for the noise you encountered, and that you didn't enjoy our breakfast - many guests love our wild blueberry muffins and other home-baked pastries. Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate your business and your input.

Don't let the location right on Route 1 dissuade you. The owners did an outstanding job on the recent renovation and the hotel is exceptionally clean. Beautiful local photography and fresh flowers in the lobby. Friendly helpful staff. Grab and go breakfast where you can choose from a variety of items including muffins baked from scratch and some very good coffee. Nice view of the water and sailboats from rooms on the back side of the inn and from the breakfast room and terrace. My only complaint is that the lighting in our room was not ideal for reading. There was a lamp at one end of the sofa but no lamp near the arm chair. The bedside lighting was too dim to read in bed because of where the wall lamps were placed. I would definitely stay there again if I had need of a hotel in Belfast.

This place was nearly perfect for our trip. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included with the room and included some homemade pastries. The view of the harbor from the back patio was nice and made for a relaxing place to enjoy breakfast from. The only drawback is that it is a little further from Acadia than we would have hoped. But the overall experience was very positive. You can stay here with confidence.

This was an unexpectedly good find. Spotlessly clean not only in the rooms but the entire facility. Be sure to request a harbor view room so you can sit on your private balcony and see the water. The entire staff was friendly and helpful

This was the best hotel I stayed at along the Maine coast. The hotel is very new and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well finished. I recommend an ocean view room as they have a balcony and unobstructed view of the water. The breakfast, while somewhat modified due to COVID, had many options, including protein and non-sugar filled options. Staff is friendly and property has nice amenities.

We used to LOVE The Belfast Harbor Inn. Location is great, service is outstanding….then they decided they would no longer be pet friendly (because of something that happened with someone else’s pet). Every year we call to see if they have changed their mind…we drive by to see if we see dogs being walked, we are SO VERY DISAPPOINTED. We want to go back, but they won’t let dogs in. This is Belfast Maine one of the most dog friendly locations we’ve ever been to. I do hope they have a change of heart. We really would love to go back.

Ok wait, freezer. I read that wrong. Because they have a continental brekkie, I'm sure they have a freezer somewhere.
