recently i acquired a blackberry leap and have wanted to install apps but since blackberry world is no longer a thing where would i find app install files. also how would i go about installing them.

Just "open" the App installer files on the BlackBerry, like when installing APKs from outside the Play Store on Android devices.
Most still run and install ok, some have expired trust certificates which you will need to persuade to install by changing your devices clock beforehand.

Yes. I'm giving you the example, it's the same as installing an APK on an Android outside the Play Store.
You just need to find the BAR files for the Leap.
