Highlights

  • Fanny, Ling, Hanzo, and Hayabusa are the most reliable assassins in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
  • Fanny excels in mobility and farming, while Ling's wall jumps give him an advantage.
  • Hanzo's burst damage and jungle domination make him powerful, but he is vulnerable when his ultimate is active, while Hayabusa's stacking damage and high mobility make him lethal in group plays.

Whereas the Marksmen of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang are built to take down foes at the safety of distance, the Assassin is capable of taking out even the fiercest of sharpshooters if they catch them off-guard. Compared to the more forward fighter, Assassins in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang rely on subterfuge, ambushes, and even speed to outpace the enemy and eliminate them before they could even strike back.

Mobile Legends: 14 Beginner Tips For The MOBA You Need To Know

Mobile Legends is a go-to mobile game for MOBA lovers. These tips should help beginners get started on their journey.

As such, Assassins in a team are the go-to heroes to remove Marksmen from play before they get a chance to gain momentum. In team fights, Assassin are also expected to eliminate potential escapees at the backline or even obliterate heavy-hitters as soon as crossfires begin. However, among the Assassins in the mobile MOBA, just who are its most reliable?

10 Fanny, The Blade Dancer

High-Level Mobility For Fast Entries, Exits

Fanny

Specialty

Chase, Finisher

Passive

Air Superiority: Deal 10% to 20% Extra Damage to enemies hit that scales with flying speed, applying Prey Mark per attack up to 2x. Skill hits will then restore 7 Energy per stack, but reduced when hitting many enemies at once

Skill 1

Tornado Strike: Whirls her blades to deal 300 to 540 (+80% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies nearby

Skill 2

Steel Cable: Propel herself to the first obstacle in the target direction, can be cast every 2 Seconds until Energy runs out. Each cast has a -2 Energy Cost. Auto-casts Skill 1 when hitting an enemy mid-flight if she has enough Energy

Ultimate

Cut Throat: Leaps at the target hero or Creep and deal 500 to 860 (+240% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage, with each Prey Mark giving +20% Damage

Tigreal’s younger sister Fanny seems inspired by the Survey Corps of Attack on Titan, this time with her unique gear allowing her to outmaneuver foes in Mobile Legends as long as she has structures to latch on. Fanny’s high skill ceiling can often make her a detriment more than a benefit to teams, especially since players need to know which walls or Turrets could be latched on to navigate the field. Sadly, without Purple Buff, Fanny suffers from high energy cost.

However, the right skill progression can make her one of the best farmers and among the highest DPS in the early game. Focusing on mid-lane to kill White Monsters, Reapers, and Spinners can snowball Fanny quickly, especially since they help manage her Skill 1’s high energy cost. Players with high map awareness can use Skill 2’s range to reach other parts of the battlefield much faster than others.

9 Ling, The Cyan Finch

Wall Jumps Provide Mobility Advantages To Heavy-Hitting Kit

Ling

Specialty

Chase, Burst

Passive

Cloud Walker: Can leap on walls, gaining +4 Lightness Points per second while on walls and +5 Lightness Points when dealing damage. He can get 1.5x Crit Chance from all sources but caps at 150% Critical Damage

Skill 1

- Finch Poise (Passive): Critical Chance is permanently increased by +2.5% to 10% - Finch Poise (Active): Cast Lightness Skill and leaps onto a wall, entering half-stealth and restores Lightness Points with +30% Movement Speed. Getting hit will leave half-stealth, while control effects will d rag him to the ground with 30% Slow for 2 Seconds. Jumping from wall to wall will reset the CD

Skill 2

- Defiant Sword: Stab nearby enemies, dealing 300 to 400 (+40% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage - (From Wall): Dash to the target on the ground, dealing 300 to 400 (+40% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies and inflict 30% Slow for 1.5 Seconds. Critting will give +45% Slow for 0.75 Seconds - (The Attack): Is treated as a Basic Attack, can trigger on-attack effects, gives +35 to 60 HP per hit

Ultimate

- Tempest of Blades: Become Invincible, get +10% Movement for 1.5 Seconds. Landing deals 250 to 450 (+100% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage, knocking center foes airborne for 1 Second and create a Sword Field for 8 Seconds. - (Extra Swords): 4 Blades will appear on the edge of the field, and grabbing each will give - 4 Seconds CD to Skill 1, reset Skill 2, and get +25 Lightness Points

Jealousy towards his former master choosing Zilong as his greatest disciple had made Ling abandon his teachings and temporarily side with Yu Zhong, but a rematch with his rival made him see the error in his ways. Despite this crisis of conscience, the mysterious Ling remains one of the deftest Assassins in Mobile Legends, with the character’s MOBA gameplay emphasizing high mobility. Ling’s greatest setbacks concern his high energy usage and crowd control weaknesses, as well as the need for technical map knowledge to maximize his wall-leaping kit.

However, bypassing these drawbacks can transform Ling into a damage powerhouse regardless of the game phase. Wall-diving with Skill 1 and Skill 2 can provide massive benefits such as Physical Lifesteal and split pushing for faster growth. Likewise, while his Ultimate’s temporary Invincibility can pave the way for advantageous setups, it could be a nifty escape mechanism.

8 Hanzo, The Akuma Ninja

High Burst Damage Assassin With Vulnerability Drawbacks

Hanzo

Specialty

Burst, Poke

Passive

Ame no Habakiri: Units dying near Hanzo will be absorbed as Demon Blood, 2 per non-hero units and 20 per hero

Skill 1

- Ninjutsu: Demon Feast (Hanzo): Every 5 Basic Attacks will temporarily unlock this for 6.5 Seconds, where he uses his Passive to get 10 to 20 Demon Blood from Minions and Creeps. This deals 500 to 1500 True Damage to Lord or Turtle - Ninjutsu: Demon Thorn (Hanekage): Unlocked after 5 Basic Attacks, lunge forward to hit enemies in a line. This deals 300 to 550 (+60% Total Physical Attack) (+Target’s 15% to 25% HP) Physical Damage, knocking them airborne, and giving 10 Demon Blood. Non-hero units receive less damage

Skill 2

- Ninjutsu: Soul Reap (Hanzo): Spikes deal 160 to 360 (+60% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage. Targets hit will be attacked after 0.5 Seconds, dealing 40 to 90 (+15% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage and 40% Slow until they aren’t hit or receive the extra damage 8x. Each hit gives 1 Demon Blood - Ninjutsu: Devastator (Hanekage): Flies to the target to deal 80 to 180 (+50% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to the area. Skill repeats every 0.3 Seconds, until target isn’t hit or is hit 8x. Hitting an enemy unlocks one seal of Ninjutsu: Demon Thorn

Ultimate

- Kinjutsu: Pinnacle Ninja: Gain 25 to 35 Demon Blood while sending out Hanekage with new skills. 10 Demon Blood is consumed per second while Hanzo’s body is moved to Hanekage’s location - (As Hanekage): Move through terrain and get +35% Movement Speed and +30 to 50% Attack Speed, but suffers from -50 to 35% Physical and Magic Defense. Killing Hanekage returns it to Hanzo, inflicting 3 Seconds Stun and 8 Seconds Weakening (-55% Speed, -100% Physical and Magic Defense, reveals himself to enemies) - (Use Again): Hanekage returns to Hanzo’s body - (Extra Skill Button): Hanzo is summoned to Hanekage’s location

Formerly a genius from the Crimson Shadow’s Shadow Sect, Hanzo absorbed the Hanekage into his body and took the powerful Ame no Habaikiri technique to acquire greater power. The soul inside him needed continuous flesh and blood to thrive, something he could obtain through his burst gameplay style in the MOBA. Among the Assassins in Mobile Legends, Hanzo enjoys early-game Jungle domination through Skill 1 even without Retribution (Battle Spell), and his kit can facilitate pokes, AOE burst damage, and even high DPS in team fights.

Where Hanzo suffers is skill ceiling, as his powerful Ultimate does leave him vulnerable to enemies especially if Hanekage is killed. In turn, Hanzo is advised to camp to steal Jungle buffs via Skill 1 while timing his Ultimate as Assassins may try to kill his body. Keeping a Support hero nearby to protect Hanzo’s body could be advisable. When trying to steal Lord, using Ultimate and then Skill 2 to dive into the location before finishing off with Retribution could theoretically leave Hanzo unscathed.

7 Hayabusa, The Crimson Shadow

Stacking Damage, High Mobility For Lethal Group Plays

Hayabusa

Specialty

Chase, Burst

Passive

Ninjutsu: Trace of Shadow: Attacks inflict Shadow Mark on hit (up to 4x), each lasting 6 Seconds and gives +5% Damage to the target

Skill 1

- Ninjutsu: Phantom Shuriken (Active): Throws 3 Shuriken to the direction, dealing 150 to 250 (+70% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage with 35% Slow for 2 Seconds. Enemies hit by multiple Shuriken only take 30% Damage after the 1st hit. Hayabusa gets 10 Energy per non-Minion hit - Ninjutsu: Phantom Shuriken (Passive): Permanently gets 3% to 18% Spell Vamp

Skill 2

- Ninjutsu: Quad Shadow: Dash to the direction and release 4 Phantoms that travel in different directions, attaching to the 1st enemy hero hit and dealing 130 to 180 (+30% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage with 40% Slow for 2 Seconds. - (Use Again): Teleport to a Phantom’s location to give -1 CD to Skill 1. If the Phantom is attached to an enemy hero, also deal 130 to 180 (+30% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to the enemy

Ultimate

Ougi: Shadow Kill: Blend into the shadows and release 6 single-target attacks on enemies in the area. Each attack deals 140 (+75% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage. Attacks prioritize Shadow Marked target, with each strike consuming a mark to inflict extra 45 to 85 (+20% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage

While Hayabusa doesn’t have the aptitude to become as good as ninjutsu as his brother, the knowledge that Hanzo harmed him was something that motivated Hayabusa to master the craft to exact revenge. In his MOBA gameplay in Mobile Legends, Hayabusa boasts high damage potential with his Ultimate while having enough escape options with his Skill 2. However, as an Assassin, Hayabusa does suffer from high energy costs with the potential of inconsistent Skill 2 targets, demanding skill on the parts of his controllers.

Revamped Aurora in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is far more prominent in crowd control compared to her previous version, so here's how to counter her.

Despite these setbacks, Hayabusa can be an efficient team fighter and split-pusher. Using the Purple and Red Buffs can help Hayabusa speed level to Level 7, making him poke enemies easier with Skill 1 before dashing for the kill with Skill 2. Hayabusa’s high mobility can also help him split plush much faster, where he can clear mobs between two lanes while ganking foes who try to Jungle in the vicinity.

6 Aamon, The Duke Of Shards

Duplicates Can Make For Extended, Lethal Skirmishes For Enemies

Aamon

Specialty

Chase, Magic Damage

Passive

- Invisible Armor: Hitting with a Skill puts Aamon in an Untargetable Camouflage state that restores 25 (+15% Total Magic Power) (+3% Lost HP) HP every 0.6 Seconds, alongside +60% Movement Speed that rapidly decays over 3 Seconds - Invisible Armor (Attack): Exiting Camouflage enhances Basic Attacks over 2.5 Seconds, where they now deal 100 (+100% Total Physical Attack) (+65% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage, on top of -0.5 Second CD per hit. This is increased to +120% if Camouflage is exited actively.

Skill 1

- Soul Shards (Passive): Charge armor per Skill or Enhanced Basic hit. At 5 Charges, throw 6 Shards, where each deals 40 to 100 (+15% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage - Soul Shards (Active): Throw a shard at an enemy, dealing 150 to 300 (+60% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage

Skill 2

Slayer Shards: Throw a shard that deals 120 to 220 (+50% Total Magic Power) Magic Power to the 1st non-Minion enemy, and inflict 50% Slow for 2 Seconds. Not hitting an enemy will enter Camouflage State

Ultimate

Endless Shards: Throw all shards at an enemy, inflicting 30% Slow for 1.5 Seconds. After a while, the shards hit the opponent, each dealing 90 to 100 (+24% Total Magic Power) up to 150/180 (+40% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage. Shards increase with armor charges and the shards on the ground. Damage dealt increases with the enemy’s Lost HP up to below 30% HP

Compared to his brother Gusion, Aamon of House Paxley doesn’t have the luxury of youth due to his status as the family’s heir. However, his mastery over lethal mana shards allowed him to become one of the popular MOBA’s deadliest Assassins. Despite sharing a similar toolkit with his brother, Aamon is an all-rounder boasting high damage with high mobility, with his invisibility playing a huge part in the latter part of matches. He does suffer from early-game power creep on top of his squishy nature as an Assassin.

However, players can still maximize their experience with Aamon with the right usage of his multiple damage options. A key component here is to use his Skill 1 and Skill 2 as initiators, where he can gank foes unexpectedly and secure kills. Aamon’s early-game depends on Jungling and ganks, and using his invisibility to jump the gun on foes so they can’t secure the Turtle fast enough. In the late game, Aamon’s kit allows him to best serve as an executioner in the backline, especially when he surprises foes out of invisibility during their escapes.

5 Benedetta, The Shadow Ranger

Punish Enemies With Frontal Attacks With Mobility

Benedetta

Specialty

Chase, Burst

Passive

Elapsed Daytime: Holding Basic Attack enters Swordout State and charges Sword Intent. A fully charged attack releases Swordout Slash with a dash, dealing (+215 Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies. This is called Skill Damage, meaning Minions and Creeps get -50% Damage. Basic Attacks and Skills still charge Sword Intent, but Swordout Slash could only be used while holding Basic Attack

Skill 1

Phantom Slash: Dash quickly to leave an afterimage, and then the afterimage slashes in a fan area that deals 200 to 400 (+75% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage with 60% Slow for 0.5 Seconds. User then dashes forward to deal another slash, dealing 75 to 200 (+100% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage, but becomes +200% Damage if the enemy was already hit by her shadow

Skill 2

An Eye for An Eye: Raise weapon to gain Control Immunity and block damage from any source for 0.8 Seconds, then counter for 300 to 450 (+80% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage. Successful damage mitigation gets full Sword Intent, and successful control mitigation will buff the counter-slash with a 1.5 Seconds Stun

Ultimate

Alecto: Final Blow: Raise Alecto then dash forward with Untargetable. Slash after a delay, detonating Sword Intent. Across 2.5 Seconds, the attack can deal 1560 to 2000 (+1105% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies in the area with +50% Slow

Despite sharing a past with Alucard as descendants of soldiers, Benedetta didn’t come from an aristocratic family and had therefore no privilege to easily become a Warrior of Light. This didn’t stop Benedetta from training herself, becoming a feared ranger throughout the Barren Lands. As an Assassin/Fighter hybrid in Mobile Legends, her MOBA gameplay enjoys high damage in the early game that can facilitate faster clears with both her Skill 1 and Ultimate. However, Benedetta does suffer from blinkable Ultimate, control vulnerabilities against her Skill 2, and weaker endgame against snowballing enemies like Claude (Marksman).

Thankfully, Benedetta’s kit being a hybrid Assassin/Fighter means she’s easier to use as an Assassin compared to mainstays like Lancelot and Ling. When used properly, her Skill 2 is a free Purify (control immunity) with damage immunity, plus a free stun attack that leaves aggressors wide open for punishment. Unlike other ambush-reliant Assassins, Benedetta should be able to hold off her own as a frontline combatant for most of the early to mid-game.

4 Gusion, The Holy Blade

Multi-Hit, Teleportation Burst Specialist For Fast Kills

Gusion

Specialty

Burst, Magic Damage

Passive

Dagger Specialist: Each skill cast adds 1x Dagger Rune up to 4x, with each stack making an Enhanced Basic Attack that deals +3% Target Lost HP Damage while also healing +50 (+25% Total Magic Power) HP to the user

Skill 1

- Sword Spike: Throws a dagger in a direction to deal 200 to 300 (+50% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage on the first enemy hit and using a Mark - (Use Again): Move behind the marked enemy, dealing 200 to 300 (+100% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage, uninterrupted skill movement

Skill 2

- Shadowblade Slaughter: Throw 5 Daggers in the direction, each dealing 110 to 210 (+50% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies hit while inflicting 6% Slow for 2 Seconds (but stackable up to 30% with Daggers) - (Use Again): Recall Daggers, each dealing 65 to 115 (+40% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies on the path

Ultimate

- Incandescence: Dash to the location, resetting CD of Skill 1 and Skill 2. Casting Skill 2 before Ultimate means casting Skill 2 during Ultimate now throws and recalls 10 Daggers - (Use Again): Dash a short distance to the target

The aristocratic House Paxley had little room for the likable but mischievous Gusion who paid more attention to bladework than the family’s talent for magecraft, leading to his eventual exile. Little do they know, Gusion’s mastery over knives would make him one of the deadliest Assassins in Mobile Legends, with his MOBA gameplay specializing in high burst damage complemented by his stellar mobility. Getting to Level 4 can help Gusion snowball further, especially when juggling ganks and Jungle kills. Unfortunately, Gusion’s mobility is important due to his weakness against controls and straightforward melee fights.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang – How To Counter Cici

Cici is a powerful damage dealer who's hard to take down, so players may be wondering who they can use to counter Cici in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

However, Gusion’s kit can make for devastating team plays when used properly. Early game plays are best used securing Thunder Fenrir (Purple Buff) and nearby Jungle Creeps to get to Level 4 quickly. After this, Gusion can harass opponents via ganks against squishy potential heavy-hitters on the enemy camp such as Mages, Marksmen, or fellow Assassins. Thanks to Gusion’s Ultimate, he can survey a battle to see if it’s worth escalating into a gank or moving out of the way.

3 Karina, The Shadow Blade

Target-Focused Heavy Hitter Who Can Excel In Team Fights

Karina

Specialty

Finisher, Magic Damage

Passive

Shadow Combo: Every third consecutive attack on the same enemy deals 50 (+2.5% Total Magic Power)% of their lost HP as Damage (up to 2,000 True Damage vs Creeps). Targeting an enemy hero will reduce Karina’s non-Ult CDs by 1.5 seconds

Skill 1

- Dance of Blades: This is a 3.5 Seconds state that buffs with +45% Movement Speed, blocks Basic Attacks (ever 0.4 Seconds) while reflecting 100 to 200 (+30% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage back to the attacker - (Basic Attack): This deals 150 to 255 (+55% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage while also inflicting 45% Slow for 1 Second, with a Guaranteed Crit

Skill 2

Dance of Death: A spinning slash that deals 375 to 600 (+125% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies nearby

Ultimate

- Shadow Assault: Dash to the enemy hero and deal 350 to 750 (+160% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage, applying a Shadowmark and leaving a Shadowform that both last 5 Seconds. Enemies who die within the duration will reset the CD - (Use Again): Dash back to the Shadowform’s location, dealing 150 to 250 (+50% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies on the way

After failing to keep her sister Selena from succumbing to the Abyss, Karina may have to use her blades as the best among the Dark Elves’ killers if she can’t stop her darkness. However, fans of Mobile Legends may enjoy her accessible high-damage gameplay that can pave the way for many kills in team fights. She does suffer from being a hard poker and high dependence on Jungling to get her DPS high enough to reach lethal levels.

However, Karina’s kit does allow her to become exceptionally powerful at the hands of the right player. Karina has decent mobility even without blinks, allowing her to take on Jungle Creeps while still having enough firepower to gank nearby foes. When used properly, her Skill 1’s Basic Attack immunity can incapacitate Basic-reliant Marksmen, especially since the same skill can deal massive damage. While still vulnerable against enemy attacks, Karina could compensate by getting a few kills in with her Skill 2 for that HP recovery.

2 Lancelot, The Blade Of Roses

Lancelot

Specialty

Burst, Chase

Passive

Soul Cutter: Get +7.5% Damage for 4 Seconds whenever Lancelot charges or blinks, stackable until +30%

Skill 1

Puncture: Charge to deal 100 to 250 (+50% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies on the way and apply a Sword Mark to the first unmarked enemy hit. Applying a Sword Mark resets this skill’s CD

Skill 2

Thorned Rose: Strike a direction 3 Times, each dealing 225 to 400 (+100% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies hit. Become Invincible and Untargetable while using the skill, and foes in the central AOE will receive 20% Slow for 0.5 Seconds

Ultimate

Phantom Execution: Charge slowly, then blink-attack forward for 400 to 800 (+150% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage. Become Invincible during this attack

Believing himself to be the most dashing and charming knight of his generation, the once proud Lancelot of House Baroque now wishes to truly become a gallant defender after meeting Odette of the Swan Castle. Until then, the MOBA character should eliminate his foes with lightning-quick attacks as an Assassin. Compared to other heroes of similar roles, Lancelot boasts incredible agility and can deal high damage when aimed properly. Skills that give him Untargetable statuses make him especially deadly in team fights, though he suffers from the need for farming, interruptible skills, and skill ceiling.

When players master Lancelot, however, they get quite the hyper-efficient Assassin. Players using Lancelot are advised to dash as close to four times as often as possible to maximize the +30% Damage cap before attacking. Lancelot should also maximize his aim, as the Skill 1 reset when marking an unmarked foe can save Lancelot with a free teleport, while aiming at the center with Skill 2 maximizes damage on hit.

1 Saber, The Wandering Sword

Early-Game Killing Machine

Saber

Specialty

Finisher, Charge

Passive

Enemy’s Bane: Attacks inflict - 3 to 8 Physical Defense for 5 Seconds on hit, stackable 5x

Skill 1

Orbiting Swords: 5 Swords orbit and deal 80 to 105 (+30% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage on enemies. Each attack sends a sword to deal 210 to 250 (+60% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to the target and +50% Damage to enemies it passes through, and -1 Second CD to Charge

Skill 2

Charge: Dash to the direction and deal 75 to 150 (+50% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies on the way. The next Basic Attack is enhanced to inflict 60% Slow for 1 Second and 75 to 150 (+120% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage

Ultimate

Triple Sweep: Charge at the hero to knock them airborne for 1.2 Seconds and slash them 3 Times. The first 2 Strikes deal 120 to 180 (+100% Extra Physical Damage) Physical Damage, while the third Strike deals 240 to 360 (+200% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage

The pursuit of perfection led to Duan Meng’s unfortunate transformation into Saber, the ultimate killing machine. And despite his nature as one of the OG Assassins among heroes in the MOBA, he remains one of the most popular picks for the role due to his efficiency. Saber boasts high burst damage that can contribute to his already high-damage early-game stats, letting him clear lanes faster and reach enemies easier. He still shares common Assassin weaknesses such as low survivability, single-target focus, and CC-vulnerable skills.

However, players can still use Saber by virtue of his early-game supremacy. Timing trips around the Jungle should give Saber enough momentum to eliminate Marksmen and Mages quickly, ruining the team’s overall damage capabilities. Saber can also dispatch fleeing heroes with his Skill 1, ensuring no one survives a fight with him. While Saber isn’t as useful in late-game group fights, his specialization in duels make him a frightening enemy to face.
