The most anticipated sequel to Pixar’s makers unveiled a thrilling addition to the much loved franchise. As we await for the highly anticipated sequel to Pixar’s Academy Award-winning Inside Out, the creators of the film have announced an interesting addition to the renowned series. The first film was well-received by the audience for its apt portrayal of human emotions through visually appealing images of ‘train of thought,’ ‘memory islands’ and ‘core memories.’ The makers have just revealed ‘Belief Systems,’ a new concept in Riley, the protagonist’s head as she approaches adolescence in the future film.
Screenwriter Dave Holstein discussed the development of 'Belief Systems', stating, "It felt like the first movie was about memories, and it was quite emotional for me to find a way to show beliefs as we get older." Our beliefs surely strengthen as we age. Perhaps we had not seen them before. Not because they didn't exist, but because beliefs are becoming more important to you. He explains that the first film created a visual language for people to express their emotions.
Inside Out 2 includes a larger cast of emotions set against the backdrop of protagonist Riley's psyche. The film, directed by Kelsey Mann, stars Amy Poehler, Maya Hawke, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Ayo Edibiri, and Kaitlyn Dias in key parts.
