American rapper Macklemore has dropped a new song in support of the freeing of Palestine.

All proceeds from Thrift Shop hitmaker’s song, named Hind’s Hall, which shows his backing of the college-campus protests across the globe asking for the ongoing war in Gaza to end, will go to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.

With its release, the song soared to over 100M views on Instagram, with hundreds of thousands of fans sharing their support across platforms.

The 40-year-old penned on IG: “HIND’S HALL. Once it’s up on streaming all proceeds to UNRWA.”

As for the lyrics, they hit with lines such as: “Who gets the rights to defend and who gets the right of resistance/ Has always been about dollars and the color of your pigment/ But white supremacy is finally on blast, screaming ‘Free Palestine’ till they’re home at last.”

Putting other musicians on blast, he adds: “The music industry’s quiet, complicit in their platform of silence/What happened to the artist, what do you got to say?/ If I was on a label you could drop me today/ And be fine with it ’cause the heart fed my page/ I want a ceasefire, fuck a response from Drake.”

It comes after The Weeknd pledged to donate $2 million to help feed families in Gaza, according to the United Nations’s World Food Programme.

The donation comes from the star’s XO Humanitarian Fund and will help feed over 157,000 Palestinians for a month.

“This support will provide over 1,500 metric tons of fortified wheat flour, which can make over 18 million loaves of bread that can help feed more than 157,000 Palestinians for one month,” said the WFP.
