It’s simply beautiful up and lots of things to do. 2 playground for kids 1 for younger and the other for older. Lots of trails to walk with nice relaxing surroundings. Spot some deers if you are lucky. The trails are not stroller friendly. There are goats for kids to pet. You can spend the entire exploring. We took the furnicular both ways. Book online as there can be a queue during summer but moves fast. The ride is quick.
There are few cafes and 1 restaurant on top. The restaurant does not take walk ins during season so book in advance. Which makes the cafe next to it very busy with long queues.
Highly recommend visiting Fløyen maybe bring a picnic to avoid the crowd in the cafe

We arrived at the Fram Museum via a harbor water taxi. The museum is awesome for those who are interested in historic polar exploration to the North and South Poles (and even those who are not familiar with polar exploration). The Fram can be boarded on its main deck and you can explore the lower two decks to understand the living conditions of the crew. Surrounding the ship is a three story walkway the flows with the history of Norwegian exploration and explorers. A wonderful way to spend 2 -3 hours in Oslo.

Beautiful place. Loved the statues, so much life in each. Fascinating work of Gustav Vigeland. I would recommend to allow 3-4 hours, unfortunately we had less than 2h for it and didn’t get to see all of the attractions

I highly recommend for all kinds of travelers. Worth it! You can buy tickets online and I recommend doing this. You’ll need to wear good shoes for this place as well. Plan on spending a minimum of 3-4 hours.

Fun hike but do it before the crowds. We went during shoulder season and happy we did. Not too many people to pass as our pace was quick. Round trip 3.5 hours with a picnic stop.

Geiranger Fjord was a cruise stop for us. You can also get there by car from Oslo. It was so beautiful. The waterfalls along the fjord are amazing. We went on a 3hr kayaking trip that was booked through the NCL . I am not sure of the name but 2 of the guides were from Italy. It was fun to see it all from the kayak. The town was small but lovely. You can walk up to the top of the town to a lovely church and get a view of the town and fjord. A gorgeous place to visit.

The cable car rise was very short. It was rather expensive but luckily we got a small break since we paid for a family ticket and our daughter could go in free. for the price of 2 adults. The view from the top is incredible. It was a sunny day and the snow was still there up on the way to the top so a nice hike in the snow was invigorating.

Nice museum to see before visiting the park for some contex and background. Vigeland was very prolific so there is a lot to see. Museum was quite empty when we went

Because this is a viking country you must is it this museum. It small and pricey but still worth it. There are well preserved ships from ancient times and even realistic ones as though you are actually in a ship. Don't miss this one even if you are not a lover of museums.

First thing to say is it is a much much further walk than described from the station and if you have anyone considering it who is unfit, struggles with uphill walking or small children, DO NOT GO! It is also misleading as to where it is and not very well sign-posted. Firstly we went to something that wasn’t open, then up a steep gravel path which only took us to the bottom of the slope. (This took 15 minutes up hill walking) The actual entrance is another 10-15 minute walk around a long path or up very very steep steps on the side of the jump! Having said all of that, once there, very well done and the views and experience very good. I am not sure that it would be quite the same in peak season though as it would be very crowded and long queues for the lift.
