瑪麗亞‧蒙特梭利博士 (Dr.Maria Montessori)

蒙特梭利博士她是一位義大利籍的醫生和教育家，兩度被提名為「諾貝爾和平獎」候選人。也是第一位在義大利獲得醫學博士學位的女性。她以科學觀察、實驗的精神，結合心理學、人類學與教育學, 發現成長的自然法則－即兒童具有自我學習，使自己趨於完美的潛能。蒙特梭利博士依循此一發現，提出了嶄新的科學幼教理念。

蒙特梭利教育 VS 傳統教育

一般填鴨式教學，往往造成程度差的同學會產生出自卑感，程度好的孩子卻無法向前；蒙氏的教學方式，讓兒童在導師的指引下, 透過教具 ,以他們自己的進度培就孩子條理、次序、整齊、清潔及自由地專心學習。不依賴別人並且可以摒除游手好閒的惡習。

    I was at first unsure whether my 14mth old would be able to settle in the class all on her own but she's now doing very well after 2 months and is more confident to explore and do things on her own. I definitely see some positive changes in her since she started. Thank you!
