Our family was in town on a pleasure trip. Hilton Garden Inn was a great choice to stay. Walking distance to the Metro and a block away from Old Town King St....just hop on and off the (free) trolley to get around or head down to the waterfront, go shopping, or try out one of the many restaurants along King. Other HGI pluses: comfortable beds, quiet, ease at check-in/check-out, and a GREAT in-house restaurant with excellent service, and at check-out, I was thanked for being a Hilton Honors member. I liked that!

A fantastic experience for a quick overnight stay while my condo was being renovated. When I arrived the front desk agent Najhelley was such a doll, I can't thank her enough for not just her amazing customer service but also her overall HUMAN KINDNESS when I got teary-eyed about a close family member who recently passed. The rooms themselves were beautiful and sealed with the standard "sanitized stickers" this hotel is very up to date with not only a beautiful lobby but everything looks new or updated. I LOVED the shower and water pressure in my king bedroom the bed slept pretty good and pillows were soft, plenty of space in the room, and not noisy near elevators (room 413). You are walking distance from tons of eateries and the old town waterfront maybe a 10-15 min walk away but there are buses that run along king street. The metro is a 5-7 min walk tops. There was a "pack your own" free breakfast which was nice considering Covid has many hotel amenities shut down. Everyone here was wearing their mask which is appreciated. When I checked out Sunday morning there was a gentleman and another lady working (sorry I forgot to write their names down) who were so super kind and helpful something people forget can go such a long way in this day in age. Can't wait to stay with them again!

Although the location of the hotel is quiet and not too lively, it is conveniently located 5 minutes walking distance from the train station, metro station, and a Whole Foods (for when you accidentally forget your toothpaste).

Just a few suggestions for the hotel:
1. There should be a filtered water station in the lobby (the water fountain in the lobby had water with little particles).
2. The toiletries (body wash, shampoo, conditioner) was really thin and low quality.

Free breakfast is always a plus and keeps me always coming back to Hilton hotels. But by far what made this stay really great was the staff. Nicole was very friendly and helpful - answered every question I had and was super friendly when I saw her in the elevator and hallway.

First of all, I do want to say that the front desk staff was very nice, and efficient at their jobs. The room was spacious and nice. However, after that, here are the cons: the thermostat in room kept getting turned off so we had to remember to turn it on each time to keep the room cool enough to sleep. In all honesty it was a bit annoying that the room, for all of it's cost as well as how 'fancy' the hotel was, did not come with free parking or free breakfast (I'm not talking free "made to order breakfast" but some sort of pastry / fruit selection might have been nice). Either one of those would have increased the value of the stay. The valet parking for as much as it cost (which again, $36 per night so someone can park my car in a garage attached to the hotel? ;.; That's a bit pricey, half of that would have been more understandable!) seemed like it was almost an inconvenience as it seemed like the valet staff was annoyed at getting our vehicles for us at the wee hours of the morning that we would be coming back to or leaving the hotel as we were attending a 24-hour convention in National Harbor. Finally, it is a bit hard to find as not all of the streets are labeled properly (literally the street you turn on I could not see an actual street sign denoting it on the right side) and the hotel didn't have a sign that it was this specific one down at street level so that I could see, I drove by it twice! It really wasn't the best experience for my needs.

This is an excellent hotel, near a Washington Metro station and also offering easy access to Alexandria VA Old Town shops and restaurants. Valet parking is offered, and though there is no shuttle service to Washington Reagan Airport, a taxi ride is relatively short and inexpensive. This is an excellent option for business travelers and tourists. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Clean rooms, 2 blocks from metro, great service and quiet. If booking in advance, they will email within 24 hours, a checkin and select your own room, street or back side. . Fitness room and a bar/restaurant. Have to pay for breakfast though

The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Rooms are cleaned only on request due to pandemic. When we asked for fresh towels they were promptly delivered. The parking situation is limited and we parked on the street the first day and had to pay a meter. Make sure to ask questions about the parking if you are driving. Hotel convenient to Old Town and to the Metro stop. Breakfast was limited due to COVID and overpriced for what was available.

Good overall price and they were very nice. When we arrived we knew our room would not be ready but they let us valet park early and had our digital key ready in a few ours. The price of the park and stay was better than a lot of other hotels $130 for the night with parking. The only thing I think they should consider is a complimentary breakfast or a grab and go. I would stay here again.

On the positive side the location is great and the rooms are spacious. However, the noise from rooms above or on the street outside is a downside. I heard every time someone near me got up to use the restroom or opened/closed a door. The hotel is an easy 5-10 minute walk to most of the heart of Old Town and there’s many food options nearby. They do offer buffet breakfast and the front desk staff (specifically Johntae a female) was very friendly and helpful (a gentleman the morning we checked out, not so much). Short walk to the metro as well. Not sure I would stay here again just because of the noise which kept me up most of the night.

Amazingly bad experience. We booked this hotel for our last 2 nights on Alexandria from our latest family vacation and we were wondering to be remarkable. Definitely it was….sooooo bad definitely as frequent traveler i was expecting something else. We arrived around midnight and almost nooo welcoming service at all apparently just and old respectful valet wondering to do his best (we appreciate him). Once we approached to the check in desk the lady that was on duty was terribly bad and with so bad mood almost like doing us a favor to attend us. She just focused on the no things instead of the available things to do in the hotel. OUR ROOM WAS NICE spacious and clean just as we were wondering and the location of the hotel unbeatable but unfortunately the problems didn’t stopped that first night. The next day we didn’t have room service neater amenities refill and when I called to ask for water bottles because there’s was none since the very beginning again the same rude lady told me to take from the sink…..which from my perspective is not acceptable at all and when I replied back that I’ll report it she didn’t care at all. Making this experience one of the worst ever…. Finally I really will consider twice next time ill have to come to this hotel.
