NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Sophie Wright (Cambridge, Mass.) of the Yale's women's track and field team has earned Academic All-Ivy League recognition for the outdoor season. The league announced the honor Tuesday.
 
A history of science, medicine and public health major, Wright posted the second-best triple jump mark on the team this season (11.72m). That placed her eighth on Yale's all-time list. She competed at the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend. 
 
Wright has competed at five outdoor meets this season, placing second in the triple jump at Yale's Mark Young Invitational. She competed at three outdoor meets in 2023 and four in 2022.
 
Wright has been a part of the Period Club at Yale and the Yale Buddhist Sangha. She is a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.
