Pink fans have sent love to the musician after she shared a heartbreaking tribute to her father, Jim Moore, who has sadly passed away.

Writing on Instagram, alongside a photo of her and her father sharing a dance, the "Family Portrait" singer captioned the snap with a Emily Dickinson quote.

"“If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain; if I can ease one life the aching, or cool one pain, or help one fainting robin unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain." - Emily Dickinson. You did, Dad. You did. Til the next dance, Daddy-Sir.'"

In July 2020, Pink - real name Alecia Beth Moore - revealed her father had prostate cancer.

Sharing a photo of her dad in the hospital, the Grammy winning-singer wrote:

"This is my dear Dad this morning headed in for surgery," she captioned the photo. "He just finished his second round of chemo for prostate cancer, fell off a ladder and fractured his back, lost function in his legs until my battered and bruised husband shared his brilliant doctor."

In 2007, the mom-of-two stopped a concert she was filming for MTV/VH1 to let her Dad sing a song he'd written and sang to her as a baby.

Pink affectionately called him her "first rock star."

The song "I Have Seen The Rain" was was a bonus "hidden track" on the "I'm Not Dead" album.

"He wrote a song about forty years ago in Vietnam," she said to the New York audience. "And I think it's important today because it's a soldier's cry and we're producing them by the thousands. And tonight this is a really special evening because the first time my dad's ever performed in front of a group is going to be right now."

Earlier this year, Pink posted a touching throwback video of that concert on Twitter with a message.

"Missing my dad tonight and wishing I was with him," she wrote in the tweet.
