Ian Lithgow created the role of Tony in Boy Gets Girl by Rebecca Gilman at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, and reprised the role at the Manhattan Theatre Club.

He has performed in numerous other theatre productions over the years, such as Measure for Measure and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed in repertory at the Ahmanson Theatre by Sir Peter Hall; The Seagull and Henry IV, Part 1, both at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, MA; Marat/Sade (Main Stage) and ‘dentity Crisis, both at the Williamstown Theatre Festival; and The Lady and the Clarinet at Stamford Theatre Works.

He played the recurring character of Leon on NBC’s 3rd Rock From the Sun. He is a member of the Pacific Resident Theatre Company, and is the eldest son of actor John Lithgow.
