Metronomy, known for their eclectic indie-electronic pop music, embarks on a new collaborative journey with the upcoming release of ‘Posse EP Volume 2’ on July 12th, marking their debut on the renowned label Ninja Tune. Band founder Joe Mount steps into the role of producer, inviting new voices to join him on his celebratory instrumentals across five tracks.

The lead single, “With Balance (feat. Naima Bock and Joshua Idehen),” showcases Mount’s production prowess as he weaves pastel-plucked guitars and ethereal vocal lines, culminating in Joshua Idehen’s commanding presence and lyrical finesse. Metronomy demonstrates their ability to harmonize unique voices, creating a captivating musical experience. The single follows the recent collaboration “Nice Town” with Pan Amsterdam, accompanied by a visually striking official video directed by global creative agencies Wieden+Kennedy, Immigrant Studio, and Wake The Town.

Mount comments on the video, stating, “It’s another step in the collaborative process of making the song, and I love how it highlights new artists and ideas. I also love it when I’m not in a video because I can enjoy it the same way that everyone else does.”

Elsewhere on ‘Posse EP Volume 2,’ Mount collaborates with an array of artists including Miki, Faux Real, Nourished by Time, Lynks, SPIDER, Master Peace, and TaliaBle. The Posse EP series, initiated in September 2021 with Volume 1, continues to connect Metronomy with new talent while embracing their own musical journey. Mount reflects on the value of collaboration, stating, “It’s realizing you have a value within the music industryโ€ฆ It’s a great way of feeling connected to a wave like the one I was part of.” The collaborative process invigorates both the artist and the listener, providing a fresh perspective and renewed energy.

“With Balance (feat. Naima Bock and Joshua Idehen)” is available now, with ‘Posse EP Volume 2’ set for release on July 12th on vinyl and digital platforms.
