While extremely late for her own wedding, Tara (Winnie Clarke) accidentally leaves the gate to her back yard open and her beloved dog Gabriel sees a squirrel across the street, chases after it, and is promptly run over by flower delivery boy Jerry (Will King). Gabriel goes to Dog Heaven, where he gains the ability to speak (in the voice of Kris Kristofferson) and manages to sneak back to Earth when a black squirrel distracts a bunch of other dogs waiting to get into Dog Heaven. During his brief time in the afterlife, a month has passed back on Earth: Everyone in town hates Jerry for killing Gabriel, but when Gabriel and Jerry cross paths they learn only Jerry can…

i only watched this bc the trailer is one of the greatest works of art i've ever seen and i couldnt believe this was a real movie. if u never watch this pls watch the trailer, the best 85 seconds u will ever spend.
words cannot convey the sheer inexplicability of its existence, the mudanity of its insanity. whenever an actor tries to emote it looks like they're having a stroke. kris kristofferson delivers his lines with the exact amount of enthusiasm you'd expect from an academy award nominee whose career had dropped to this level
horrifically dull, gloriously terrible, comedy gold, would absolutely recommend
if this film was any longer i would have ripped all of the skin off my face in despair

It feels like it was made by aliens in an attempt at “wholesome”, or perhaps an algorithm. With strange movements and actions that merely hint at what you or I would actually do, this is just the epitome of lazy, toothless, filmmaking. The acting is exactly as expected, although there were moments that genuinely made me want to see some of these people’s reels to see their efforts divorced from this non-speak. Please do yourselves a favor and watch the background actors throughout if you actually decide that this something you want to do for an hour and a half. Like... do a chore with this on. That’s the attention this deserves.
