Targett 'determined to come back better than ever' after surgery

Newcastle United defender Matt Targett said he is focused on returning "better than ever" after successful surgery on his hamstring.
The left-back suffered the injury in the Carabao Cup win at Manchester United on 1 November and Eddie Howe said on Monday he expects him to be sidelined "for around three months".
Targett posted X, formerly Twitter:, external "Still finding it hard to get my head around the injury. Felt so good going into the United game!! Completely bizarre injury to happen in a couple minutes of the game!
"Surgery went well yesterday so I’m on the mend. Determined to come back better then ever."
