Virginia State University Reviews
Rating 3.51 out of 5 1,367 reviews
The food is terrible and has given many people food poisoning. Some days, I didn’t even eat. The school only cares about the freshman. The president is around for publicity, but isn’t there when there is a serious matter at hand. The people under him are disrespectful liars. The dorms are filled with smoke and marijuana. People with disabilities are on their own unless they are picked from the lottery. The teacher you end up with determines your grade more than yourself. Being here will give you depression, anxiety, and strength. I can’t wait until I graduate!
The three things I love about VSU would be the tight-knit community, fun events and diverse activities and academic programs. VSU is known for its warm welcoming community of people throughout town. Where students, faculty and staff come together to create a positive and enjoyable college experience.
Students often display a strong sense of Trojan pride by holding doors open for each other or assisting peers with course work. Most students feel valued and supported by professors, students, faculty and staff.
There is always something happening on campus. Whether your attending Homecoming, Spring Fling or a gym jam be prepared to enjoy yourself.
As much as I love, Virginia State, I wish we could improve a few things. That would be to open the cafeteria for longer periods of time because the food is awesome and add a parking deck because it’s difficult to find a parking. Overall, Virginia State is a great place to study and grow as a student.

Virginia State University offers a vibrant and supportive environment for students. The campus is beautiful, with plenty of green spaces and modern facilities. Professors are knowledgeable and approachable, always willing to help. The diverse student body creates an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. While the dorms and dining options could use some improvement, the university's strong sense of community and events to keep students engaged makes up for it. It's also pretty inclusive.
