McKeesport Area Senior High School Reviews
Rating 3.37 out of 5 145 reviews
This school does not prepare you for college whatsoever. It'll really only be mentioned if you take Honors/AP classes, and even then the process is hazy. A lot of the teachers are lazy, but a good portion of the student body doesn't make it easier for them. It feels like this school prepares you to stay in McKeesport for the rest of your life. There should be mandatory meetings between students/classes and guidance counselors to get them ready for the college process.
Mckeesport high school offers a great education despite its challenging factors. The school may have a high physical altercation status, but it does not allow it to completely interfere with students’ learning. The teachers are helpful and welcoming to new students and they provide a safe environment for everyone.
I graduated from Mckeesport Area Senior High School in June 2020. Throughout my senior year, I had a lot of trouble with certain classes due to COVID-19. My teachers and counselors were able to work with me throughout those troubled times.
