Synopsis

Max Bright, the ultimate male chauvinist pig, gains much more than the ideal mate when, in the aftermath of an explosive breakup from his latest affair, he sets about finding himself the perfect mail order Asian wife. Goaded on by his weekly poker pals, Max hooks up with a service that promises their clients the ideal mate and true to their word, six weeks later, the exotic and unexpectedly decorous Mai Ling arrives. Enraptured by the beautiful and serene young woman, Max is initially stunned into something approaching normalcy, and for a time, the pair seem to be an ideal match. But before long, Max's brusque and brutal nature asserts itself, setting in motion a battle of wills that pits Mai Ling's calm against Max's avidly tempestuous disposition.
