I live in Fayetteville but happened to be in Bentonville today. While I was in Bentonville I called to know if the pool would be open this afternoon 05/22/2017. I was on the website prairiegrovearkansas.org which says "Prairie Grove Aquatic Park : Inquiries prior to 05/28 call 479-846-2961". So I called that number and was told that the pool would be open until 4:30. I wanted confirmation so I asked again "You will close at 4:30 today, is that right?", and the person confirmed that the pool would be open until 4:30 today. So my friend and I drove all the way from Bentonville to Prairie Grove. Once we had arrived we were told the pool was closed. I explained the situation but they didn't seem to care so I went back to my car. Then I thought (because I run a business and know what good customer service means) that it wasn't right and went back to ask politely the staff member if I could have a free $4 pass for my next visit. She called her manager and City Hall but told me she couldn't do anything for me. So yes, this is horrible customer service, probably because there is NO competition in the area, this is the only outside pool in the area. We do not feel encouraged to come back to this pool and probably won't. They lost a customer. But in a area with no competition they probably don't care.
