Foreman had a successful amateur career before turning professional in 1969. He won his first world heavyweight title in 1973 by defeating Joe Frazier in a fight that was famously called the “Sunshine Showdown.”

Foreman retired from boxing in 1977 but made a comeback in the 1990s and won the heavyweight title again at the age of 45, making him the oldest fighter to win a major world title.

After retiring for a second time, Foreman became a successful entrepreneur and TV personality, and he has been involved in numerous business ventures, including the George Foreman Grill.

Foreman has been married five times and has children from several different relationships.  Five sons and seven girls make up Foreman’s family of twelve. George Jr., George III (“Monk”), George IV (“Big Wheel”), George V (“Red”), and George VI (“Little Joey”) are among his five sons.
According to Foreman’s website, he gave all of his boys the same name so they will always have something in common.
George III has followed a career in boxing and entrepreneurship, similar to his father. In the second season of the reality television program American Grit, George IV made an appearance and finished eighth.
Natalia, Leola, Freeda, Michi, Georgetta, Isabella, and Courtney are his seven daughters. Leola and Natalia are children of his union with Mary Joan Martelly. Freeda, Michi, and Georgetta were his daughters from different relationships.
In 2009, he adopted Isabella Brandie Lilja (Foreman), and in 2012, he adopted Courtney Isaac (Foreman). Freeda was a professional boxer with a 5-1 record who retired in 2001 and died in 2019 at the age of 42, perhaps by suicide. Living in Sweden, Isabella Foreman has been writing blogs there since 2010 under the alias BellaNeutella.
Foreman has spoken publicly about the importance of his family and his faith and has said that they are the most important things in his life. Despite his success in boxing and business, he has always maintained a strong connection to his children and has often spoken about his desire to be a good father and role model to them.
