MANHATTAN, Kansas - K-State (2-0) embarks upon its busiest portion of the 2022-23 schedule, as the Wildcats will play six games in 10 days. K-State  starts a three-game home stand on Thursday as they host (4/6) Iowa on Thursday night at 8 p.m., followed by UTRGV on Friday night at 6:30 p.m., and ending the home stand against Utah Tech on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

Five names, numbers or storylines about K-State women's basketball
1. K-State Secures 1,000th Win
• With its 77-63 win over Wisconsin during the Brew City Battle in Milwaukee, K-State became the third Big 12 program and 19th NCAA Division I school to reach 1,000 program victories.
2. G-Squared 
• Senior Gabby Gregory earned her first career Big 12 Player of the Week honor for averaging 22.0 points per contest on a 50.0 percent field goal percentage including a 40.0 percent effort from 3-point range, a 90.9 percent effort from the foul line, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the opening week of the season.
3. She'll Take That
• Sophomore Jaelyn Glenn pilfered nine steals in the opening week of action. Glenn leads the Big 12 for steals per game (4.5 spg) and notched her fourth and fifth career games with four or more steals including five against Wisconsin. 
4. Mittie Collects 600th Career Win
• K-State head coach Jeff Mittie reached the 600-win mark in his 31 seasons as a head coach (601-345, .635) doing so with an 83-43 win over Central Arkansas on Nov. 7, 2022.
5. Mischievous Thieves
• Kansas State pocketed a season-high 14 steals against Wisconsin in the Brew City Battle. The 14 steals were the most by the Wildcats since notching 14 against Kansas on Feb. 13, 2021.

Last Time Out
K-State 77, vs. Wisconsin 63 (Nov. 11, 2022; Milwaukee, Wis.)
• With its 77-63 win over Wisconsin in the 2022 Brew City Battle, Kansas State collected the 1,000th win in program history.
• The Brew City Battle was played at American Family Field, home of Major League Baseball's Milwaukee Brewers. This was K-State's first game in a baseball stadium.
• The Wildcats trailed by 13 points in the first quarter, but outscored the Badgers, 47-30, in the second to secure the win.
Gabby Gregory notched a game-high of 25 points, while Serena Sundell added 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Jaelyn Glenn came off the bench and tallied 16 points, eight rebounds, five steals and three assists.

At a Glance: Iowa
• (4/6) Iowa has raced out to a 3-0 start in 2022-23 with an electric offense. The Hawkeyes are averaging 98.0 points in their three games, including a 115-62 win over Evansville on Nov. 10 and a 92-86 overtime win at Drake on Nov. 13.
• On the sideline, Iowa is led by 23rd-year head coach Lisa Bluder. The 1983 graduate of Northern Iowa led the Hawkeyes to the 2022 Big Ten regular season and tournament title. She owns a career record of 822-384 (.682) in her 39 seasons of coaching and is 466-242 (.658) during her time in Iowa City.
• The Hawkeyes are led on the floor by two-time All-American Caitlin Clark and All-Big Ten recipient Monika Czinano.
• Clark, a guard from West Des Moines, Iowa, is averaging 24.7 points per game, 7.3 assists and 6.3 rebounds. At Drake, Clark finished with 28 points, nine assists, five rebounds and two steals.
• Czinano, a forward/center from Watertown, Minnesota, is averaging 23.0 points on a .692 field goal percentage and 7.3 rebounds. At Drake, Czinano pocketed a double-double with a game-high 36 points with 11 rebounds.

At a Glance: UTRGV
• Prior to its trip to Manhattan, UTRGV will host Northern Colorado on Tuesday night. The Vaqueros split their season-opening two-game road trip with a loss at Oklahoma State and a win at McNeese State.
• On the sideline, UTRGV is led by fifth-year head coach Lane Lord. The 1993 graduate of Tabor owns a career record of 360-188 (.657) and is 52-66 (.441) during his time at UTRGV. Prior to taking the helm of the Vaqueros, Lord coached Pittsburg State for 11 seasons.
• UTRGV is led on the floor by Mele Kailahi with 13.0 points per game.

At a Glance: Utah Tech
• Utah Tech is on a two-game swing through the area, as the Trailblazers will face Kansas City on Friday evening and then face K-State on Sunday.
• On the sideline, Utah Tech is led by seventh-year head coach JD Gustin. The 2000 graduate of Montana Western owns a career record of 208-164 (.559) and is 62-81 (.434) during his time in St. George.
• The Trailblazers are led on the floor by senior guard Breaunna Gillen with 19.0 points and 10.5 assists.

K-State Against Ranked Opponents
• The Wildcats are 85-233 (.267) against teams ranked in the Associated Press (AP) poll including a 54-67 (.446) mark against AP ranked teams in Manhattan. 
• K-State is 13-56 (.188) against AP ranked opponents in head coach Jeff Mittie's eight seasons in Manhattan.
• K-State faced a school-record 12 Associated Press (AP) top-15 opponents last season. The Wildcats were 2-10 against AP ranked opponents last season.
• The Wildcats captured its first win over an Associated Press top-10 foe since the 2011-12 season by defeating 10th-ranked Baylor on Jan. 2. K-State is 22-112 (.164) all-time in games against AP top-10 opponents including a 13-34 (.277) mark in games played in Manhattan.

Wildcats Picking Pockets
• Kansas State has opened the season with quick hands, as the Wildcats are second in the Big 12 in steals per game (11.0 spg).
• The Wildcats have pocketed 22 steals in its first two games. Of its 38 opponent turnovers, 57.9 percent have come by way of a K-State steal.
• Against Wisconsin on Nov. 11, K-State registered a season-high 14 steals. This marked the most steals by the Wildcats since Feb. 13, 2021, against Kansas (14).
• In the 2021-22 season, K-State recorded 245 steals (7.4 spg) and had nine games with 10 or more steals. Of the 513 opponent turnovers, K-State forced a steal on 47.8 percent of those turnovers.

Glenn Gains Possession
Jaelyn Glenn has proven to be a defender with quick hands.
• To open the 2022-23 season, Glenn has tallied nine steals (4.5 spg). She leads the Big 12 in steals per game.
• In the season-opener against Central Arkansas on Nov. 7, Glenn notched four steals and followed that effort with five steals against Wisconsin on Nov. 11.
• For her career, Glenn possesses 13 games with two or more steals including five games with four or more steals.
• In the 2021-22 season, Glenn led K-State in steals with 1.4 per game and 46 total thefts.
• Glenn set her career-high with six steals against Texas Tech on Feb. 5, 2022.

Gregory Opens Eyes in First Week
• Guard Gabby Gregory was comfortable in her first week with K-State, as she paced the Wildcats in scoring in both games and earned her first career Big 12 Player of the Week honor.
• The product of Tulsa, Oklahoma, averaged 22.0 points per contest  on a 50.0 percent field goal percentage including a 40.0 percent effort from 3-point range, a 90.9 percent effort from the foul line, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Her 44 points in the first two games are the most by a Wildcat in their first two games in purple and white.
• Gregory led all scorers in the Big 12 in points during the opening week. 
• Against Wisconsin in the Brew City Battle, Gregory led K-State with a game-high 25 points on 7-of-17 shooting, including a 4-of-11 effort from 3-point range and a 7-of-7 effort from the foul line. She also carded a team-high nine rebounds and dished out two assists. 
• Her 25-point performance marked her highest scoring performance since notching 27 against TCU on March 4, 2021, as a Sooner. 
• This was Gregory's first career game with at least 25 points and nine or more rebounds.
