Linda Avey American b. 1947 – 1998 was an Arizona artist renowned for her representation of wide-eyed Native American children. In all of her paintings, she captured the happy, joyous days of youthful activity with her expressive, high-spirited children.
Linda Avey had a remarkable talent for art and for most of her life she earned her living as such. The sun always shined in Linda Avey’s world. She had a fertile imagination and portrayed children in so many different scenes with a range of expressions, character and spirit. Her paintings took the collector to a much simpler, happier time. Her scenes were delightful, believable and she brought her characters to life through the brilliant use of colors.
Because her pieces were in such high demand, she produced a number of signed, limited edition lithograph prints as well as collector plates through Kern Collectibles.
Her art was displayed in prominent Scottsdale galleries and she had patrons; the most notable being Lou Grubb, a well-known car dealer and public figure. Her own Gallery was called “It's a Small World”. She was very commercially successful and her work still is seen selling in the internet.
