I have been lucky to attend Wilton High School. If you want a safe environment, high academics, and the chance to go to any college if you apply yourself in the right ways, you can find that here. While it's not known for sending many athletes D1, it is a strong selection to thrive in high academics with a strong staff of teachers (though there is the occasional exception) in an environment of students that support one another in and out of the classroom while also founding charities, starting initiatives, and pursuing their passions. While I would recommend to the administration to allocate further resources into college counseling, academic-oriented clubs, and mental health resources - which were all notably underfunded this year - I am proud to have spent my four years of high school in Wilton with students that push themselves to be the best.
Wilton High School is challenging, close-knit, and well-rounded. You are prepared for the rigor of courses in college, especially if you take AP classes. The teachers are amazing, they all deeply care about what they are instructing and are very much invested in helping the students. The school is also very much a reflection of the town, for better or worse is up to the individual. The school has good sports availability, but the food is pretty bad, at least from 2017-2021 when I was there. Most public schools in Connecticut use the same food service though so not much of a surprise there. I felt very safe on campus, so that's not a concern either.
Although the school has many great extracurricular opportunities and amazing academic teachings, you will find that the school's culture is overwhelmingly competitive and toxic. Also, you will meet some of the nicest or the worst teachers you will ever meet at this school. Also, some of the facilities are old and they haven't renovated this school in ages.
