- Why is the second LP one-sided? As if there's any shortage of songs they omitted from the CD version. At least use all four sides on 45RPM. What a waste!
- Very happy with this release! Quiet and dynamic with the only downside being the paper inners. But other than that, fantastic!
- Edited 5 months agoWHERES THE NAKED WOMAN??? but really how can you leave out the chick with the flower? this is a really nice record. everything sounds nice and dynamic. a rather large sound compared to other rocktober releases. seems a little ironic that a record like this gets the 2LP treatment and the whole 9 yards. they could have stuck it on one LP and called it a day with it being just a compilation record that isn’t in super high demand but they went ahead and did it justice! very happy with that.
- Edited 6 months agoThere Should be Positive reviews here. Yes the records should be in polylined sleeves. An insert with additional info would’ve been nice. But at the end of the day, it’s the Music that matters. Nice clean, flat, Centered vinyl. Sounds Great on my system. I think they should have skipped the etching on side 4 and spread the tracks out over all 4 sides and this would’ve been perfect. I got the recent clear vinyl pressing of Purple and that record is a small step above this, in terms of fidelity, if we’re splitting hairs. But not comparing to other pressings (many of them were crap anyway), this sounds Awesome to my ears. I hear the separation and nice sound stage. Bass is Strong as well. I’m thrilled to have this on vinyl.
- Side 4 should have had some tracks from the Rolling Rock Town Fair 2.0; one of the greatest concert performances of all time. At least give us Trippin' on a Hole, which was released as a B-side in Australia!
Oh well, you know what Mick and Keith said. - Edited 6 months agoSimilar to the recent reissues with regard to being little flat and lifeless at times… not all the tracks, but a handful just don’t sound that great. Overall still worth owning but wish they would of brought in someone skilled to remaster these!
- Pretty disappointed with the lack of effort put into this release. No full artwork, no printed sleeves, no accompanying dvd. Had the opportunity for such potential, but looks like it was just rushed.
- Picked up at In Groove today. I have listened to the 1st album. Really quiet pressing. No doubt some digital in the pathway, but good sounding master. Even though I haven't found out who did the Master and lacquers. Chris Bellman did the 2021 master of Tiny Music.
