200 km/h in the Wrong Lane is the second and first English-language studio album by Russian music duo t.A.T.u., released on December 10, 2002, via Interscope Records. The album explores themes such as love, sexuality, and rebelling against societal norms. A 10th Anniversary Edition of the album was also released on November 12, 2012.
“All the Things She Said” was released as the lead single from the album on August 19, 2002. The song became their highest peaking single in the United States, reaching number twenty. This marked their only song to chart in the United States. “Not Gonna Get Us” was released as the second single in the US, but did not match the same success in the United States as the previous single. “Show Me Love” and “30 Minutes” were released as promotional singles outside the US, with “How Soon Is Now?” released as the final single, outside the US as well.
Lena:
That was a great record! I think we had a very strong message, a lot of teens found themselves in our songs. The music is great, it is an album where almost every song is a hit! I am proud of it! It was the beginning of our careers, so exciting. New life. Great times for us, I think! No regrets!
Julia:
Yes, it was a huge success all of a sudden. My childhood dream came true. There can be only one regret: That these years pass too quickly, and there’s no way to return back.

Julia:
No, we worked with Martin in the studio and he helped us with the pronunciation. A person with musical education and ear for music will remember quickly and be able to repeat.
Lena:
It was not a big problem for me cause I was speaking English, not the way I do now, of course. But we had to work on our accent. Martin was helping us with it, teaching how to pronounce the words correctly.
