Very nice and quiet hostel. Great location and neighborhood, safe area and within walking distance to other nice neighborhoods. Nice and friendly staff. Stayed 6 nights in a private room, enjoyed our stay. Not very big or very social snd is pretty quiet, but did meet some other guests and was perfect for our stay. Not a party hostel, in a good way. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my last stay in Mexica in Hostal Fungi . Before flying to uk .
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The beds were comfortable and sheets soft.
The place felt like a home in many ways ,
Loved the artwork. And papermash models.
Will remember this Hostal ..

This hostel had so many issues. The main one being privacy. The doors to the rooms did not lock, which is a major safety concern. Not to mention, there are only three bathrooms and two showers for the entire hostel. One of the bathrooms, you have to access it through one of the rooms. You also have to walk through this room to get to the roof. So if anyone needs to use that shower or go to the roof they have to walk through a room where people are sleeping. It was also very dirty.
