Harris Named Most Valuable Gymnast by College Gym News

Sophomore Selena Harris earned College Gym News' Most Valuable Gymnast award in their fourth annual end-of-season awards. The award is given to the gymnast who contributed the most to the success of their team.  
 
Harris, who was last season's Freshman of the Year, competed all-around in all but one meet this season and hit 48 of 48 routines in team competition and extended her streak of consecutive hit routines to 104 out of 104. She averaged 39.629 in the all-around, 9.929 on uneven bars, 9.910 on floor exercise, 9.896 on balance beam and 9.894 on vault this season. Her career averages are 39.641 in the all-around, 9.922 on bars, 9.912 on beam and floor and 9.886 on vault.
 
In 2024, Harris was named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year after winning the all-around at the Pac-12 Championships with a championship record-tying score of 39.825. She also won the Pac-12 titles on vault (9.975) and bars (9.950) and was second on beam (9.950) and floor (9.950). Harris earned first-team All-America honors at the NCAA Championships with her third-place finish on beam and was a four-time regular season All-American (all-around, vault, bars and beam). She scored four perfect 10s in 2024 – three on vault and one on uneven bars – and led the team in individual victories with 29, Top 3 finishes with 40, 9.95+ scores with 21 and 9.9+ scores with 30.
